I have appealed a false ban against myself but I am yet to receive a response from PBBans informing me that the ban has been lifted. Here is a little Warning for our admins: When you use mpi3 and you tick option "Linked GUIDs" , please keep in mind that there is such thing as dynamic ip. Several players can be linked together. If one of them is marked as a cheater, it does NOT mean that the rest players are cheaters too. I would like to ask all SGA to be carefull when they use linked guids. I have got a genuine cdkey which i have had for 4 years, but i have used keygen keys in the past when i couldnt find my original cdkey.. My KeyGen is deleted, I have learnt my lesson. At least now i can continue with my gaming, league and business without slanderous comments from the community. Thanks again guys, keep up the good work. In other words, they are branded a hacker without ANY form of proof. i wish people would educate themselves before posting on open forums what is, in effect, an out and out lie :angry: no one gets added to the MBI or are denied an account here without positive proof of a direct link to a cheat violation. every new registrant goes through a vetting procedure and if a cheat violation is shown that in turn is investigated before any decision is taken on granting a forum account. Anyone can use another name in game and in these days of dynamic IP's there are bound to be some innocent players linked by IP to a ban, thats why we stress that the name and IP are for information purposes only. The one thing that remains constant is a pbguid and it is this info alone that is taken as 100% proof positive when a ban is added to the MBI. If a tenuous link to a ban is found during the vetting procedure for forum accounts then the player always receives the benefit of the doubt. I hope this clears up your confusion. I am not confused, I think it's weird that people who have not been caught hacking themselves but are in some way LINKED to a GUID used for hacking, do not get access. It's in no way proven that they have EVER hacked, yet you keep them from this site, like you keep away hackers. If someone is linked to a banned GUID DIRECTLY, its a different story. Theres many ways to tell if the person in question is legit {aka hacked guid} ,,,locations, ip's..ect....no one gets banned for the hell of it w\out positive proof.. A linked guid wont get you banned if the hacker is an Aussie and you live in the US ...it will just state you used a bad guid {keygen maybe? } ... "yet you keep them from this site, like you keep away hackers. " ...... everyone is innocent till proven guilty...hell, even the banned hackers still come here,,they arent banned , they just dont see the full forum...I've seen many GREAT players get keys stolen ,,,so far everyone of them have to this day a clean record.... Even the players with direct cheat bans have severely limited access to the forums but access they have, so I dont know were you get the idea that there are players with indirect cheat related links that have no access at all here. A GUID that was been used by several HUNDRED people, so the chances are its a leaked key. He is directly linked to 2 GUID's, both clean as a whistle. Yet, he was declined access to this site wich made us decide to not stream. What good is streaming for us if the clan punkbuster can not even get his info from here? He did not get access, not even limited access. He has never hacked. He checks 700MB of PB screenies (our CTF only) every week. He does everything to keep hackers out, yet he has been branded a hacker, or atleast as 'not trusted' because he is in some way linked to a key, that was used by one of the hundred entries that used it, to hack. If this is your policy, it's your policy. Nothing can be done about that. It only means we have to keep a closer look on our server, checks and screenies, and that one of the biggest clans in SOF2 with the most active servers aren't streaming.
