Merlintime
I'm unable to locate any logs for your server. According to your team account information it's listed as a new server and has not been added to the Hub at this time. Other than the timing of adding the streaming, what other reason leads you to believe streaming is causing your server to crash? Have you reviewed the PB Logs at around the time of the crashes? It would be helpful review the logs to around the time of the crash.
Ryan4Katie2005
well we had that server streaming before, it had been removed because the person who manages pb bans is not around this evening. few days ago we had the server up for 4 days and not a single crash. since then we turned pb bans back on this morning and had 5 crashes. where can these logs be found ?
Merlintime
PB Logs are typically found in the PB folder. Example: /cod4/pb/svlogs

Merlintime
Also verify you have the correct PBucon profile. Only profiles of 0 or 1 are allowed. The entry in the config file should be similar to the following: PB_SV_UConAdd 1 64.27.21.46 pbbanshub pbbanshub What version is your COD4 server (v1.6, v1.7, etc)? Merlintime
Find the latest PB Log. You should be able to zip the file and attach it to a PM here at PBBans.

fozzer
Streaming does not cause server crashes Bro, we have 5,500+ servers streaming with np at all. Your server was not streaming when the account was created. We have logs that were streamed on 30 and 31 of December and today, thats it. (we have no logs for the 1 January) You have a pbguidrelax setting of 7, that means any random keygen user can connect to your server and not get kicked. To fix this you need to set a task pb_sv_task 60 300 pb_sv_guidrelax 0 Your heartbeat for the Hub task does not appear to be working, so your streaming will stop if the server is empty for long periods. To fix this you need to set a task pb_sv_task 0 7200 pb_sv_ver You have accept flags checked only. Uncheck the accept flags and check the enforce bans flag, this will let the hub check every connecting player and not your server thus saving resources. How many bans in your servers pbbans.dat ? Do you run PBBans md5 /cvar scans ? If yes whats the freq setting. Do you run your own or another anti cheat sites md5 / cvar checks ? Do you stream to another anti cheat site ? Merlintime
After reviewing the PB log file, I do not see anything caused by streaming which would have attributed to the server crashing. Along with the questions fozzer posted, please verify syntax/spelling of all commands in your configs (pb and server) are correct. Verify spelling of map names especially. Here is a link to a generic COD4 pbsv.cfg file; http://www.pbbans.com/mci-view-pbsv-id27.html There are many resources on the internet for the COD series game. FPS Admin is an example such a resource. http://www.fpsadmin.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=
RoadWarrior
// Log Settings set g_logsync "2" // 0=no log, 1=buffered, 2=continuous, 3=append set logfile "1" // 0 = NO log, 1 = log file enabled set g_log "games_mp.log" // Name of log file, default is games_mp.log set sv_log_damage "1" // Add that to your server configuration file. Then the logfile will log server errors and you can perhaps pinpoint the source of your crashing a little easier.
deathsvapor
Can i jump into this? We don't have a crash issue as a lag issue to the point where in a gunship one second....freeze...then wallpaper (splat!) the next. Can I PM an expert our config to look over? I PM'd bob (He gave me help before and I donated $200)but he must be busy. I will donate the same if I can get this fixed. I had pbbans off on the server 72.51.40.216:17567 and no lag. Then when it was approved the same lag we experienced on our other 2 servers appeared. Thanks in advance DV
RoadWarrior
Streaming in itself does not cause lag. Usually, lag can be attributed to poor configuration of the server, or perhaps having to many screenshot requests within to little time, how-ever. Do you also stream to other anti-cheat organizations? Below are the settings I use for ss on my cod4 servers with no noticeable lag at all. If you decrease the time between shots, or increase the size of the shot being taken, you will sometimes notice a short period of time where players "lock up" and can't move. ; ------------------------------ ; PBSS Settings ; ------------------------------ pb_sv_AutoSs 1 //[0=No, 1=Yes (default=0)] pb_sv_SsFloor 1 //[Low screenshot filename serial #] pb_sv_SsCeiling 1000 //[High screenshot filename serial #] pb_sv_AutoSsFrom 300 //[Min # of seconds to wait before requesting next ss] pb_sv_AutoSsTo 1200 //[Max # of seconds to wait before requesting next ss] pb_sv_SsCmd "" //[Filename of system command to run after screenshots] pb_sv_SsWidth 400 //[Requested pixel width of remote screenshots] pb_sv_SsHeight 204 //[Requested pixel height of remote screenshots] pb_sv_SsXpct 50 //[Percentage across screen for remote screenshots] pb_sv_SsYpct 50 //[Percentage down screen for remote screenshots] pb_sv_SsSrate 1 //[sample Rate for remote screenshots] pb_sv_SsDelay 20 //[Maximum delay client waits before capturing screenshot] pb_sv_SsPath "" //[Path where remote screenshots are saved] pb_sv_ssLogging 3 //[1=Reg. Log, 2=SS Log, 3=Both, 0=Neither] pb_sv_ssTimeout 300 //[seconds]

Ice Man
nope ucon limit can reach the sky (but it needs places to stream before it will matter) -Dan
deathsvapor
nope ucon limit can reach the sky (but it needs places to stream before it will matter) -Dan Thanks dan....well to answer the other questions.....we dont stream to any other cheat catching sites and its a full 2 sec freeze till you regain the proper spot you are in game. My ping is 9 and I dont have programs running in conjunction with bf2142 (turned off porn downloads....yeah c'mon if I just put what I was going you all would have added it anyway...hehe). I have gone on other 2142 servers and noticed the same gap. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
