The game doesn't crash anymore when signed into Social Club, but you can't sign in at all half of the time :mellow:

GTA IV was released for the PC on the 3rd December this year. Just a word of warning for those who don't have it on the PC - wait until the first patch is released until you buy it. Currently, there are several issues which need addressing. A few irritations I've come across so far: - You MUST be signed into Windows for Games - Live to be able to save even single player games. Not signed in = no saving the game - The master servers for the Rockstar Social Club application are reguarly down, stopping you from playing MP - Windows for Games - Live cannot currently be auto-updated to a bug - Signing into the Rockstar Social Club crashes the game on launch if the master servers are experiencing issues So, not a good start. Hopefully, the first patch will fix the issues.

Could you post the spec of your PC, please? Also, are your FPS rates constantly low, or are they spiking up and down?

That won't work.

A script which toggles cl_maxpackets repeatedly will trigger such an effect. Use pb_sv_bindsrch cl_maxpackets to check for such binds.

- Bans are not placed for these cvars - they're stock cvars. - They can't be enabled in-game since they're cheat protected. - The server must have sv_cheats set to 1 for them to be able to be used.

I don't personally see the advantage in using the command prompt unless it's required. Double click a deb file, or open a terminal, cd to the directory, then use dpkg to install it. I think I'll take the double click :P

I don't use the command prompt apart from installing drivers :) I prefer security over a miniscule free-up of RAM. UAC is there for security. I noticed no performance increase whatsoever when I disabled UAC. Windows Defender, on the other hand, is a different matter. Disabling automatic updates is NOT an option IMO. Change it to notify you first. Disabling updates completely is a security risk.

User account control's a complete pain. I can't really see removing it improving performance, although disabling it does stop a lot of frustration :)

Those options simply add bans to your server when a bannable MD5 tool / CVAR violation is raised on another streaming server. I'd recommend you have those enabled.

If that line is not present, simply send the command: [/rcon] pb_sv_writecfg That will write the settings to your configuration file :)

Your server is not configured for streaming to PBBans. Click here. Use that tool, and your servers will be set up to stream :)

Yup. Nearly as good as the player claiming their new Printer came bundled with MH :) Becks is a cheater. It is proven. No ifs, not buts. He's a caught cheater. Unless you remove the player from your clan, your account will remain suspended and you will not be permitted to stream your servers here.

The MD5 imprint from the kick Beks has received (twice) is identical to the MD5 imprint of the cheat files in our database. Beks is a convicted cheater. Beks has been caught cheating twice. Remove the cheaters from your clan and streaming can resume.

The pbucon.use file can either be empty or contain information. The information within the pbucon.use file will never be loaded, so it doesn't make any difference if it's empty or not :)

The pbsvuser.cfg is to give additional anti-cheat protection. Add it to give your server the best anti-cheat protection you can. The server will stream without this file, but it's effectiveness at catching cheaters will be reduced. Add that, and your server's as well protected as possible :)
