You simply add the server in your account manager, then get it streaming to us by using the online webtool. Once the server is approved by admin, it will be listed in your account. Click the AccCP button at the top of the forums to take you to your SGA account control panel. :) -
Curious. What operating system on your computer? If running Vista, you'll need to run the game as administrator by right-clicking the icon and choosing that option from the drop-down menu. I got rid of BF2 shortly after changing over to Vista because the two don't play very well together, but did get the game working after also running it in compatibility mode for XP.

Add something like a period to the end of the clan-tag, it's really about that simple. As stated, clan-tags are for admin-purposes on our end. Your clan's actual tags are not affected by this in any way.
-
You now need to have your gaming clan's lead admin ask to add you to his SGA list, if that is the desired result.
-
It's also best to use your original account here, and make the request to be removed. You have options to change your user-name, etc. Dupe-accounts are most often removed, if we catch them. One account per-user, requests are listened too, as well, with removal.

Server not streaming
RoadWarrior replied to Flip101's topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
Try running the online server tool on the front page. Be sure to choose your game, and all the other pertinant info such as rcon port and server IP, and simply run. Setup takes just a few seconds, and should see you streaming again. -
Do you run a server yourself?

About time I did it, but my crew of merry-thieves(my term for my clan) has agreed to work on a monthly donation. Wished it could be more, but heck, anything that keeps the hub, the bandwidth, and the ability to attain new hardware available to PBBans is well worth my crew's time. A mere few bucks a month from a number of them make it easy to see a monthly donation. I don't know about the rest of you(well, I do know, from the support you all give us, really!) But I want to see PBBans continue to grow, and continue to be, and continue to improve.

Just to put one in for those that got a hate on for IE. That's what I currently use. I used to use Opera, have tried FF, and personally still find IE7 to suite me just fine. Anyone remember back in the days when NutScrape(NetScape) used to be the bad-browser on the block?

Rules of any install. Format, then install OS, then CHIPSET driver FIRST, second is VIDEO CARD. After that, all drivers for other hardware can be installed in any order. Sounds like you borked the install. Might try DriverCleaner and see if that helps your situation any.

Update your drivers with the lastest versions for your chipset at www.nvidia.com I run Vista 64x currently, on a PN5-E SLi motherboard from Asus with a 650SLi chipset. No issues here.

It's the fact that it's located in your house that is the issue. If you were to co-locate it at a known DC, this would ensure not only the security of the server, but also a dedicated IP. Some food for thought, as well. The average home-user's ISP will simply not provide you with enough bandwidth to successfully run a gameserver from your house. It might be fine for small groups, and anyone located within a few hours of the server, but not much good for anything else. Secondly, in today's world of dynamic IP's, you'll be lucky if you can maintain the same IP for any extended length of time. Thirdly, as Benway has stated, it screws up the MPi database. By and large, this is due to the fact that all players connecting to a home-based server tend to show up as being on the same IP. For example, if you had 10 players on your server, the MPi would see all 10 of those players as being multiple GUID's with one singular IP. Generally an indication of a key-gen.

Many different games allow tweaks. Why would BF2 or any other game be different? Secondly, if you're not a tweaker, then perhaps you need to catch up, or just live with the fact people can, and will, in numerous games. PERIOD! and then deal with it accordingly. No point to this thread, really, tweakers are tweakers, always exist, always will be, and if your hardware doesn't support it, to bad for you...upgrade! Tweaks are simply not hacks, thread closed.
-
We'll consider tweaking a game a hack when evenbalance.com does. Until then, it just remains being what it is. I can speak for myself, I make various tweaks to any game, to improve fps, fov, and various other things, as long as they fall into acceptable ranges approved by evenbalance and with regards to certain discoveries, pbbans.com as well. I can't think of to many gamers I've known who don't tweak things out for best performance, regardless of the game. I'd guess you've never played Q3 based games?

I'm personally adding a monthly donation to the list, as I know many of the staff do now. Every donation made on my end gets credited to my clan, and I know they're on-board. Might look silly for a staff member to thank PBBans for all it does, but in all honesty, PBBans has given me, my clan, and fellow gamers/clans out there more than I can give back.
-
Donated as well, and tossed a thread up on my clan's website as well. Nice to see all the support guys and gals. :)

Try a simpler message, or two. Something like. New server in "x" days/weeks" close the timing up a bit between the messages and inlclude forum info, or new server IP Then add a final date/time for close, short message. Incidently, while the messages are handy, you'll find the average gamer tends to tune them out and not read them anyways. At least that's been my experience. They just want to frag.

Google's first hit.... http://www.prevx.com/filenames/*^^99173824...RTBEAT.EXE.html Might want to run an anti-spyware/malware app or two to get rid of it.

The ToS was actually the first thing I read when a friend aimed me at this site not so long ago....give or take a year or a bit over, ago. I had my questions to ask as a noob back then, still have lots to learn, and definitely feel good about being able to help someone in some small way. Thing is, when-ever you enter a forum of any kind, regardless of what the forum is about, you should read up on their rules first, and then consider posting, or consider actions, such as attempting to stream your home-server. Rules and regulations are always there for a reason, and were not there to put you in harm's way, but in fact to protect the end-user from harm, as well as to protect the originator of said-forums. In this case, PBBans. A lot of thought was put into the ToS, to ensure quality, and 100% assurance that the work done here is accurate and meaningful and that it can't be tampered with.

Click on your Account Management link or the convenient AccCP button at the top, then click on manage servers, click on the Modify option, and scroll to the bottom.(This is per-server) Create your greeting, save, and you should be good to go.

You could always manually update the pb files directly from evenbalance.com Click Me

GUID's are based on a hexidecimal equation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Globally_Unique_Identifier You can research more with above link. Each are uniquie to the player, for paid for games, free games, or EA-based games might be a bit different, referring to BF-series games. Sorry for the EA guys, but PBBans can't help the bugs in the game.... :(

Server not streaming
RoadWarrior replied to Maddog Phantomias's topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
Sorry, I should have clarified what BlackWolf stated in my last post. How-ever, you will have to disable pbbans streaming during matches, and that was more the root of my question about using their configs. -
Server not streaming
RoadWarrior replied to Maddog Phantomias's topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
A couple of suggestions. Clownbase, or CB requires only streaming to GV during league-oriented competition games, so you can't stream here at the time those matches happen. Possible issue is that they inserted something to disable streaming here in their configs. I have not looked into it, but would make that an available option to look at. Secondly, why not use PAM4 in a game you play with a repute-able league that also wants to stream to pbbans at the same time? You can use numerous differnt leagues, also posted on the homepage at pbbans.com, that support us, as well as their own version of rules and anti-cheat, and work with better checks, and better quality. It's where I'd take my team if my clan were in the midst of competition right now. As staff, I and league-cordinator, I'll advocate the leagues we have on-board now, because they are the type of leagues we look for, in a zero-tolerance-cheating world. GV and Clown-Base chose another path, and as such, do not require much of a second glance, unless you're in their league, and want something better.
