Server PB-Streaming or not?
RoadWarrior replied to Zweppy's topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
Perhaps when you get tired of dealing with cheaters the hard way, you'll come back with some enlightenment. Thread closed, pointless and going no-where. -
Is there something going on here we need know about?

Server PB-Streaming or not?
RoadWarrior replied to Zweppy's topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
I'd wager a fairly educated guess that you probably have absolutely no clue when a cheater is on your server. Some of today's cheats run well outside of the actual game, and are very subtle, as well, can be toggled on and off at will. If even one of your clan members has a cheat installed, how can you be sure they're not using it while in an online game? Are you directly looking over their shoulders as they game? Or just taking their word for it over the internet? I can guarantee you, none of them will admit to doing so, even if they are. -
Server PB-Streaming or not?
RoadWarrior replied to Zweppy's topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
I'm sorry to see your stance, there. We're a zero-tolerance community here, and do not seperate cheating with regards to one player to the next. Being caught with a cheat means being added permanently to our ban-list. If you feel the need to not stream because you're scared your friends might get caught, then I feel for your clan, as in the end, only they will suffer. Perhaps your "friends" are only loyal because they know they can get away with cheating on your servers? I can assure you, as well, that many of us have ended up removing a clan member or two over the years for being caught with cheat-files installed. It's perhaps disappointing when it happens, but to ensure the quality of gaming and keeping the playing field level, you'll find that SGA's, staff and forum admin alike will quickly remove such a player from their clan, rather than put up with it. I truely wish you the best of luck. -
Server PB-Streaming or not?

Let's clarify one thing, first. PB, pr punkbuster, is software provided by www.evenbalance.com PBBans.com is a privately run anti-cheat group that simply uses the punkbuster software as a tool to add additional anti-cheat protection options to gameservers and their admin. The two operate independantly from each other. -
Server PB-Streaming or not?

A word of advice, if you will. Most SP "trainers" contain other items you may not be aware of, including key-loggers and cd-key stealers and other potential spyware/malware. Our stance, here, is simple. Do not test cheats, do not use cheats. If you do choose to set up streaming, and some of your members are banned, it will be because they've been caught with a legitimate cheat-file on their computer. It would be advisable for you to make yourself familiar with both our ToS and the PB-EULA agreement you all click yes to, when installing punkbuster software on your computers for your games. -
Can I get some of what-ever BOTA is smoking please?

I'd be curious about that PsB-related ban too, and if your "friend" can explain it. Better to get him to submit a forum account application, and ask his own questions. We can't solve the problem without some direct information from him, and second-party queries are not worth our time. Thread closed, have him do his own work on his issue, sorry if I seem cold or cruel, but a friend of a friend is hardly worth looking at as it becomes he said, she said.... We're volunteers, here, and do game ourselves. If your friend can't do his/her own dirty work, why should we stretch our staff thin to help them?

I'm more interested in the muslim dating site.... :P Google ads are what they are, and will depend a lot on your cookies, fyi, amongst other things you search for. One reason I don't run google-ads on my own site, because I don't want that crap on there, for any reason. Google is slowly taking over the spy-ware market, and while it might be the leading search engine, is perhaps becoming the scourge of them, as well. Food for thought.
-
Consider it a way of adding to the ban-list, and keeping the idiots off your servers. I'd have to concur with BlackWolf. Money seems to be the driving force, here, and doubtful they'll work to much on that issue, sad but true.
-
Tell him to get well soon. Our thoughts are with him, and with your crew. Keep us posted.

Get his "friend" to buy him a new game? Sorry, but once a cd-key is leaked, this is well past our control, and also not our issue. We've provided all the help we can. Thread closed.
-
All your friend can do is buy a new game. Then his "friend" can do what-ever he wants.
-
Killcam's are also very unreliable as proof of anything, just fyi.

Like all things AC-related. It's all about the reaction, rather than just action. Cheats have to be released first, then a reaction can be created to deal with them. Not an easy job. The one thing that is for sure. If they're not caught today, they will be in a matter of time.
-
A suggestion I would personally give is that he perhaps purchase a new game, and not let this so-called "friend" anywhere's near his house again. Yeesh, with friends like that, who needs enemies? Secondly, once the new game/key is installed, he can let his "friend" hack all he wants, sooner or later that key will become globally banned.

How do I delete my account
RoadWarrior replied to .:FoF:. NoG@S's topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
You could co-locate your box(s) with a host, and it would be the same as renting from a GSP. One thing to note, as well. The average house-hold internet service, even if you were to purchase commercial-grade/business oriented internet, is not really sufficient for on-line gaming. You'll find better pings/performance with a known GSP or co-location to a known provider of such services. That being said, we're sorry to see you go, but we have the ToS in place for a good reason, and in order to make it effective, have to stick to it strictly. Best wishes to you and your clan. -
Ventrilo Feedback / sound settings.
RoadWarrior replied to AcE's topic in Hardware and General PC Issues
In your sound card/chip's properties, move your microphone slider all the way up, put a check into the mute box at the bottom(cancels background noise, not voice) and then go into advanced and make sure the boost option is checked as well. -
When EvenBalance makes a statement like this, it's because they've researched the issue in all possible directions. Like all things related to software of the anti-cheat nature, exactly what triggered it will not likely be made public, nor should it be, as it would also end up in the hands of the cheat-groups, and likely become something they would love to exploit.

Not enough to see, there. The reason, as well, that we ask for actual in-game demo's rather than using an outside program like xfire or fraps is that someone can simply edit the video file, thus making it tampered. As for what the white things are, there's barely a 2 second glimpse of them.
-
We don't ban x-fire videos, fraps videos and will only accept demo's taken with the in-game function that are submitted by streaming game admin.

Why not get that server streaming?

Umm? Server Banned?
RoadWarrior replied to PradaadarP's topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
Anytime you choose to rent a server from a noted GSP(game server provider) you may add it to your streaming account. Please use the one that siskins has listed above. We'd be more than happy to add it to the list of streaming servers. As for home-servers or LAN servers, that's a no-go situation. -
What Starts with F and ends with K A first-grade teacher, Ms. Brooks, was having trouble with one of her students. The teacher asked, "Harry, what's your problem?" Harry answered, "I'm too smart for the 1st grade. My sister is in the 3rd grade and I'm smarter than she is! I think I should be in the 3rd grade too!" Ms. Brooks had had enough. She took Harry to the principal's office. While Harry waited in the outer office, the teacher explained to the principal what the situation was. The principal told Ms. Brooks he would give the boy a test. If he failed to answer any of his questions he was to go back to the 1st grade and behave. She agreed. Harry was brought in and the conditions were explained to him and he agreed to take the test. Principal: "What is 3 x 3?" Harry: "9." Principal: "What is 6 x 6?" Harry: "36." And so it went with every question the principal thought a 3rd grader should know. The principal looks at Ms. Brooks and tells her, "I think Harry can go to the 3rd grade" Ms. Brooks says to the principal, "Let me ask him some questions." The principal and Harry both agreed. Ms. Brooks asks, "What does a cow have four of that I have only two of?" Harry, after a moment: "Legs." Ms. Brooks: "What is in your pants that you have but I do not have?" The principal wondered why would she ask such a question! Harry replied: "Pockets." Ms. Brooks: "What does a dog do that a man steps into?" Harry: "Pants." Ms. Brooks: What starts with a C, ends with a T, is hairy, oval, delicious and contains thin, whitish liquid?" Harry: "Coconut." The principal sat forward with his mouth hanging open. Ms. Brooks: "What goes in hard and pink then comes out soft and sticky?" The principal's eyes opened really wide and before he could stop the answer, Harry replied, "Bubble gum." Ms. Brooks: "What does a man do standing up, a woman does sitting down and a dog does on three legs?" Harry: "Shake hands." The principal was trembling. Ms. Brooks: "What word starts with an 'F' and ends in 'K' that means a lot of heat and excitement?" Harry: "Firetruck." The principal breathed a sigh of relief and told the teacher, "Put Harry in the fifth-grade, I got the last seven questions wrong.

Old Harold I was having trouble with my computer. So I called Harold the computer guy, to come over. Harold clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem. He gave me a bill for a minimum service call. As he was walking away, I called after him, "So, what was wrong?" He replied, "It was an ID ten T error." I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired, "An, ID ten T error? What's that .. in case I need to fix it again?" Harold grinned.... "Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?" "No," I replied. "Write it down," he said, "and I think you'll figure it out." So I wrote down . I D 1 0 T I used to like Harold.
