  1. The server attached to your team account is currently streaming (216.157.84.129:25200) and has the relevant flags checked to "announce bans". You have no saved greetings for your server. I can see that you yourself edited the server greeting on April 03 2012: but it was not saved. In case this is relevant; All none streaming issues are client side. The first thing to do when a server just stops streaming is to run the Automated Hub Setup again; http://www.pbbans.com/automated-streaming-setup.html If you are having to go through the setup procedure every time the server restarts, it's obvious that your server is on a "crontab" of sorts and the server is loading a default cfg that does not contain your streaming commands that you sent to it in the setup phase, or your streaming settings are being held in a cfg that is not loaded by default after a server restart. If you can not figure it out yourself, raise a ticket with your RSP and tell them what your issue is .. hopefully they can then sort it out for you :) The correct file system within your PB directory should be; pbsv.cfg - contains all your PB server settings (including your pbucon settings) pbsvuser.cfg - contains all the scans (MD5 etc) that a server admin wishes to run on his server. pbucon.use - is a file that is only needed to run pbucon and is best left blank. Forcing anything other than what's listed above is asking for trouble and judging by the amount of tickets and questions we see, certain RSP's are certainly getting it. Points to note for all the RSP "experts" who think putting PB server settings in a pbucon.use file is a good idea. pbsv.cfg is loaded by default after a server restart. pbsvuser.cfg is loaded by default after a server restart. pbucon.use is not loaded by default after a server restart .. PB only checks if this file is present or not and then does nothing.
  2. Hi Markvis14 :) As an accounts staff member (both forum and team accounts) I can confirm a few things for you and any other interested parties. At some point in time you used a leaked cd key to play COD4, hence why you are linked to the pbguid that is generated by said leaked cd key. The same leaked cd key was also used by players from several other countries and 2 of those players used it to cheat with. The 2 players that elected to cheat come from 2 different countries (UK and Israel) you are from the Netherlands. The issued bans on pbguid 371e1413e2a927e9fcc14aa5b570b929 are nothing to do with you in any shape or form. The genuine retail game cd you purchased and the relevant associated pbguid is completely clean. There is no cheating history what so ever that relates directly to you. There is absolutely no problem with you becoming a streaming game admin at PBBans. Your previous forum account (TheCr0w) has now been deactivated, that leaves Markvis14 as your active forum account. Big thanks to Benway for the comprehensive, detailed responses in this thread. Feel free to use anything I have posted, elsewhere if you need to.
  3. Saves me posting the same thing twice :P http://www.pbbans.com/forums/a-bit-of-data-mining-to-help-us-false-positive-victims-t158282.html/page__view__findpost__p__408186
  4. Pity Activision can not get the big stick out to take down cheats for sale sites in the same manner.
  5. A forum member account is a totally different "animal" than a team account for streaming servers. If you want to apply for a team account you have to fill in an application form; http://www.pbbans.com/streaming-application.html There are mandatory streaming requirements listed in that link that need to be met in full before a team account can be validated and checked. There are also a lot more stringent checks to be made on you personally, other members of your group, and the game pbguid that you provide, as part of the application process.
  6. Corrupt PB install or firewall issue. Let us know how you get on with your raised ticket to your GSP :)
  7. If you like you can send me a forum PM with the rcon password for that particular server and I will check things out and post the results here.
  8. One wonders if the pay for cheats scene has filled out their paperwork :P It's not the first time the tax angle has been broached as a way of clamping down on such sites, but this is the first time any proactive action has been forthcoming.
  9. I have already responded to a ticket raised yesterday by blacklion00000 re your issue. I do not see why I should not post my response here too :) His query was; My response was; No it's not. Not sure were you got your information from. pbguid xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is clean and showing no ban that has been issued by PBBans on the player concerned. What makes you think that the PBBans Hub has a ban entry for this player ? Have you checked the servers IP restrictions that have been set by you or one of your admins ?
  10. All none streaming issues are client side. The first thing to do when a server just stops streaming is to run the Automated Hub Setup again; http://www.pbbans.com/automated-streaming-setup.html You have 6 servers attached to your team account 5 are streaming and 1 is not. The last time anyone accessed the none streaming server (87.117.216.202:2304) was you on Feb 26, 2012 ... you edited the flags for that particular server. Since then streaming stopped for that one server, so I guess more than a simple flags edit was made.
  11. Even funnier that since PBBans have been proven to have made absolutely the correct decision re cheat violations #89246 and #89296, there has not been a retraction of the "knee jerk" posts that appeared when we made the initial decision to exempt those 2 cheat violations from our systems ... that is what I find neglectful, and up to a point shameful :P
  12. http://www.pbbans.com/forums/pb-support-discontinued-for-wolfenstein-t156142.html
  13. Maybe; Five things I hate about cheaters in online games :P I have seen this guy before and for the most part find him quite funny.
  14. Now GGC have confirmed that totally innocent players are raising a cheat violation that they can be banned for, what would you 2 suggest they do now :scratchchin:
  15. You 2 are not in receipt of the full facts and you do not stream a server via PBBans so I guess you never will be. The PBBans MCI manager has suggested a PB setting that will kick all AHK users and on top of that he has updated our MD5 scans so that only cheat related AHK scripts that we have in our cheat collection database will trigger a violation. You should also remember that as it stands at the moment any server that is PB enabled will still kick for the 2 gamehack violations concerned (the default 2 minutes) the only difference is, that PBBans will not place a permanent ban for anyone raising either of those violations. So maybe your ire should be directed at Even Balance for giving a 2 minute kick instead of a globalguid ban :P If either of you have any further concerns that you feel might warrant an explanation, please use our general forums for discussion rather than clog up a news item with your opinions. Thanks.
  16. Thanks for the edit :) You are not a streaming admin at PBBans so I am afraid the inner workings must remain a mystery to you. Sorry I can not be more helpful. If you have any particular concerns you would like to discuss create a new topic on our forums rather than clog up comments on a news item. Thanks in advance.
  17. I am amazed I managed to decipher that :P We are not saying those who use AHK scripts to cheat with should get a "get out of jail free card". All streaming admins are in receipt of suggested PB settings and PBBans issued MD5 scans to combat the players that use AHK for cheating ingame. Using the suggested PB settings and the additional MD5 scans will ensure that no innocent player raises a PunkBuster™ software cheat violation on a PBBans protected streaming server.
  18. According to EB staff the 2 AHK cheat related violations raised by PunkBuster™ software are valid. In practice we were seeing a lot of players who use the AHK feature for quite innocent purposes being caught by the 2 related cheat detection scans. As it stands at the moment, if you use the AHK feature, you will still be kicked for 2 minutes by PB and you will raise a cheat violation. You might also find yourself on another sites ban list. As far as PBBans is concerned, those 2 cheat related violations do not exist any more.
  19. Play any game/demo in the list for an hour .......... free :) http://www.gaikai.com/
  20. Server 213.163.68.122:29970 is still on your team account, it last streamed 2 days ago and is still not configured correctly for PBBans Hub streaming. All none streaming issues are client side. The first thing to do when a server just stops streaming is to run the Automated Hub Setup again; http://www.pbbans.com/automated-streaming-setup.html
  21. Now your not :P Just as a refresher here is a guide to our mandatory streaming requirements; http://www.pbbans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=82423
  22. To address the OP's query. You can apportion part of the blame on EA customer services, I don't know what they are smoking over there but it certainly leaves a sour taste in the mouth when this happens; Game BF3 Alias IllIIIIIlllIIlll pbguid 9584b8b4679ca9841d61f052e5a2f7f3 Globally banned by Even Balance The player concerned is an active member of numerous different cheat sites and although he was not detected on a PBBans streaming server, he made the mistake of thinking we were the originators of his global guid ban and showed up on our forums to appeal his case. He started off by claiming he was confused, and was pretty polite in his posting style PBBans staff pointed out that the originators of his global ban were Even Balance themselves. He then states that he is dealing direct with EB (still very polite and proper) 1 day later we see this posted; That gives you an insight into PunkBuster™ doing what it is paid for and the people paying, cutting it off at the knees. If EA are going to take the easy option and give out free cd keys to anyone who claims they were wrongfully banned, why bother employing Even Balance in the first place :scratchchin:
  23. A very misleading topic to say the least which I will answer in a direct fashion. PunkBuster™ does not cause servers to crash. Streaming does not cause servers to crash. Any crash issues should be taken up with your RSP/GSP This topic may be of some help to you; http://www.pbbans.com/forums/help-on-best-server-provider-t153475.html Especially this post; http://www.pbbans.com/forums/help-on-best-server-provider-t153475.html/page__view__findpost__p__397250
  24. Lost count of the amount of times I have posted this :P All none streaming issues are client side.
