I can find no ban on our systems that pertains to you. You will have to contact the server admin and ask why you are banned, or find another server to play on. If you opened a ticket what is the ticket url ?

PBBans offers 2 types of streaming to server admins, full and lite. Lite streamers are server admins who do not meet the mandatory streaming requirements required for full streaming but who want to protect their servers from cheaters as much as they can. Then they can work on attaining full streaming status while enjoying a modicum of protection whilst they do so. Your pbguid raised a cheat violation via PunkBuster™ software. You are very lucky that your PunkBuster™ cheat violation was raised on a Lite streaming server and your pbguid appears on the "unofficial master ban index" as opposed to a full streaming server and your pbguid appearing on the official master ban index. Here is your raised cheat violation. Enforcing the unofficial master ban index (UMBI) is an entirely "opt in" process, and server admins have to physically check a box agreeing to enforce bans that appear on the UMBI If you find yourself on the wrong end of a UMBI ban, you could try appealing to the server admin that runs the server your banned from to not support the UMBI. Alternatively you could carry on doing what you have been doing for the last 10 months since your pbguid raised a cheat violation. Not every server streams via PBBans, and of the servers that do stream, not evey server admin enforces the UMBI. Then there is the ultimate solution, create a new Origin account / purchase a new game / start again from scratch and do not use cheats :rolleyes:

EB = Even Balance , the creators and maintainers of PunkBuster™ software. PBBans = a privately run third party anti cheat site. We have come across players in the past who were using a VPN or similar to mask their true IP when using a cheat, so don't hold your breath waiting for Even Balance to lift their global ban on your pbguid. Their usual response is to inform the appellant that their pbguid was definitely used to cheat with and that they do not collect personal information such as IP, alias etc. We offer this advice to any player in your situation; You need to be absolutely certain that you have complete control of your Origin account, if possible create a brand new Origin account and start again from scratch.

All it takes is one and before you know it there's an avalanche, so lets stop this in its tracks shall we. The procedure is; You apply for a team account. Your application enters a queue. The accounts staff vet each application. Only when the security checks have been passed can an application progress. If there is a problem, the applicant will be asked to provide input. The onus is on the applicant to keep track of his application. The only communication between applicant and accounts staff should be confined to the applications procedure.

The ban you appealed was a ban raised by a German guy using an alias that you have used in the past. Your pbguid is clean and there are no bans associated to you or your pbguid. The appeal you made on the German guys pbguid has been deleted as per our Standard Operating Procedure. This leaves the path clear for the German cheater to make an appeal if he wants to. We do realize that the only reason you appealed a ban that was nothing to do with you, was after receiving crap advice from a metabans forum member. Your issue is the result of some metabans noob who did not check out anything before jumping to assumptions. Feel free to use this post in any communication that you have ongoing with metabans.

Can you provide the battlelog browser link to your server. I suspect you have added a server to your team account that contains the wrong port.

Your friend has his own PBBans forum account with unique access to a totally private forum section. He has already posted and received a response and that makes this topic defunct. Topic closed.

+1 Hillhopper :) Global bans are not handed out like candy, and because global bans are issued and maintained by EB themselves, they take extra care to make sure all is in order before imposing global bans on all those pbguids detected during the silent logging phase.

You need to familiarize yourself with our procedures. There are a lot more security related checks at PBBans than anywhere else, one of which is this; 1. You request additional servers to be added to your team account. 2. The servers enter a queue. 3. A PBBans staff member runs security checks on the servers. 4. If all checks out ok the final addition is made by the PBBans staff member. Please be aware of the colour coding when you check server additions. You would have recognized instantly that both your servers were tagged "Server is awaiting admin approval"

To be exact, only Even Balance issue and maintain global bans :P The bans an anti cheat site issue are when they turn the cheat violations listed here; #50000s - Aimbot #60000s - Wallhack #70000s - Multihack #80000s - Gamehack #90000s - 'Cheat' Video Drivers #100000s - Speedhack #110000s - Autofire #120000s - Game Hook #130000s - Attempted PunkBuster Hack from a 2 minute kick into a permanent ban. That still does not explain why PBBans is connected in any way to metabans as that kick message on the second screenshot implies.

It's quite safe to leave this command line in your pbsv.cfg; pb_sv_load pbsvlog.cfg It will only load a pbsvlog.cfg if one exists. The typical contents of a pbsvlog.cfg are; pb_sv_LogUser "" //[remote_log_username] pb_sv_LogPw "" //[remote_log_password] pb_sv_LogAddr "***.***.***.***" //[remote_log_address] pb_sv_LogPort ***** //[remote_log_port] and only used to initiate the ancient method of repository streaming. repository streaming = old ford model T. pbucon streaming = aston martin db9

I don't know why, we are not affiliated with metabans in any shape or form and I am unfamiliar with their procedures when adding someones pbguid to a ban list. The server in the second screenshot does not even stream via PBBans.

Just curious .... what prompted you to post about these issues on PBBans forums ?

The screenshot must be taken on a streaming server so that the digital fingerprint and various other security checks can be verified at our end of things. Not every server streams via PBBans.

Congratulations, I think you have broken the record for posting in a 7 year old topic of a totally unrelated game forum section in relation to the servers your group runs. Most of the above is irrelevant because you can set IP restrictions via the "Modify Server" tab of your team accounts AccCP

Just a quick one for clakkers1 SCS_Sabret had exactly the same forum access as you ..... she chose to be proactive with the access and resources at her disposal. You chose to submit ticket after ticket to Even Balance and get a new cd key. Can you spot the difference :P

I posted this in response to someone who actually took advantage of the totally private sections of our forum to assist in finding the root cause of why her pbguid raised cheat violation #50710: A player who had the confidence that being innocent of any wrongdoing brings. A player who had faith in the anti cheat systems used by the game she plays. A player who totally agrees with the protocols/procedures PBBans has in place re raised cheat violations. A player who used those protocols/procedures to assist in finding a root cause. A player who displayed patience and calmness under pressure. A player who displayed tenacity, forethought and a willingness to act on given advice. A player who deserves a big slap on the back for being the only player to see things through to the end / not to rage quit / not to hide under the radar / not to buy a new game key and simply forget things. A player who had the moral integrity to resign from the league she administrates while things ran their course. I would like to publically thank SCS_Sabret for being all of the above. Don't worry I am happily married :P but you deserve a public thank you for all the input/assistance you provided that, in the end, resulted in benefitting the whole COD4 community. Tactical Clan Competition and the Suicide Commando Squad are lucky to have you within their respective groups. I would also like to take time out to publically thank Even Balance staff member Nick, despite having to deal with a few personal issues, still took time to fully investigate and eventually find the root cause of the #50710 false positive.

You joined a PBBans protected server with a clean pbguid March 28, 2013 at 0822pm with the same IP as what your posting on this forum with. Sooo ... whats the deal ?

There are differences between Lite streaming and full streaming. If a server is Lite streaming; - Player data from servers are not entered into the Master Player Index (MPi). - New bans are entered into the Unofficial MBi. There are also no ban announcements for any ban added to the Unofficial MBi. - No PBSS or Demo submissions. - Streaming Lite Admins have limited access to the Master Player Index (MPi). - Streaming Lite Admins do not have access to the same forum areas as Streaming Admins. We have those limitations in place for Lite streaming because one of our most important priorities is to maintain ban list integrity, and the mandatory streaming requirements required for full streaming help us do just that. The last thing we want to do is have to close down because of lax security issues Having said that, ClanBase league admins have full autonomy over the ClanBase league account, including an option to create their own ban list that is enforced by the PBBans Hub, so maybe they can help you out :)
