After 3 days of non streaming a server is de-activated.
After 30 days of non streaming the server is completely removed from our systems to prevent clutter.
After the 30 day period the team account was removed from our systems, this was changed to de-activate the account rather than completely remove quite some time ago.
btw welcome back :)

The method outlined here http://www.pbbans.com/forums/index.php?aut...&showfile=9 for webtool activation works for me np.

Cool. I'll update my banlist.
You do realise that checking the "enforce bans" option via your team account gives a fair few advantages;
1. The Hub checks every connecting player to your server and if that player is on the MBI he gets kicked. (the Hub is self updating so players will be prevented from entering your server as and when they appear on the MBI)
2. The Hub checks every player and not the server, so saving server resources. (very useful if your pbbans.dat has 1000's of bans in it)
3. You do not need to download/update the PBBans banlist, ever.
4. If a server admin inadvertently empties the banlist, players on the MBI will still be prevented from joining your server.
5. Because no intergration of banlists is needed, it leaves you completely free to do what you want with your pbbans.dat (i.e. configure it for psb's ambl use)

OK I didn't realise that enabling the greetings means it greets people I haven't added to my own greeting list!
If you have this feature enabled, what your doing is extending the hand of friendship to a fellow PBBans admin :)
If you join his server the gesture will be reciprocated.

Appeal ongoing - thread closed.
-
Thing to remember is that there are always undetected cheats floating about for 1 game or another and server admins are especially vigilant with games that are hugely popular and new.
The most common way of catching the as yet undetected is by pbss and even the most lenient of server admins, would, imo, submit the pbss returned by you as a possible cheat related issue.
Our ban managers are in full receipt of the facts and you will be informed of the result via e-mail.
Personally I would not allow a player to play on servers I run that returned pbss such as yours, but like I said before, maybe thats just me :P
-
You have an ongoing appeal that will be looked at some time today by our ban managers.
The screenshots in the ban link are what are being returned by you to the server, compared to what is returned by every other player they are at best atrocious :)
Not your fault, I know but the game specifies minimal requirements to run it and a decision will be made on wether you have an unfair advantage running the game with such low end settings etc. if thats what they are.
Even if your appeal is successful I would imagine a local ban would be applied by any server admin receiving screenshots of that ilk, but maybe thats just me. :)

Just for information.
The clan team account looks like this atm;
***************************************************************
Team: FULL OUT WAR (=FoW=)
Account ID: 1214
Streaming Status: Not Streaming (0 / 0)
***************************************************************
---------------------------------------------------------------
Server List
---------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------
User List
---------------------------------------------------------------
Etorres (104382)
Dyaus-Tech (113400)
After 3 days the server is deactivated and after 30 days the server is removed from our systems, as you can see there is no server(s) listed, so its 30 days plus since your clan server streamed to PBBans.
Re the aimbot violation, the server were the violation was raised would have to be streaming to PBBans for it to register as a ban on the MBI.
There is a facility for checking a players pbguid agaist the MBI, and a facility to check any servers streaming status on our main website;

Thanks for the help! I am now setup on both!
PBBans uses a completely different primary streaming initiative than all other anti cheat sites, although we still support the old rep.method of streaming too, so its no problem streaming to PBBans and another anti cheat site.
The differences between the standard streaming (rep.method) and the PBBans Hub;
Rep Feature List:
- Banning: Bans must be manually added to your server or by using PAT (PBBans Admin Tool)
- Parsing: Parsing is done once a day.
- Lecacy method of streaming.
Hub Feature List:
- Multi-streaming: Admins can stream to multiple anti-cheat sites such as PBBans and PsB at the same time.
- Live Banning: New Bans are sent to your server as they are received.
- Live Parsing: Server logs are parsed in real time as they are received.
- Ban List: With the Enforce Bans option you no longer need to update the banlist on the server.
- Log Forwarding: Option to forward server logs to other anti-cheat websites (Currently AON,& ACI)
- Greeting System: Attach a personal message to your guid that will be displayed to players when you join a server (Server must have Hub Greetings flag enabled)
- Easy Setup: Servers can be configured in 5 minutes. Also no file uploads required.
- No 3rd party software required on the server.
- Preferred method for Ranked servers.
Not hard to see why Hub streaming quickly became the streaming method of choice of PBBans patrons :)

Rent a server from a game server provider and spot the difference. :)

Clan: omgclan.eu
Was already done when I checked :)

Nice1 dobbs, good show of persistence :)
If your anything like me, I hate a damned server cfg getting the better of me and will move heaven and earth to make it do what I want !!
Also a big thanks to Buzzed for the very positive, pro-active replies in this thread.

Streaming to more than one anti cheat site has been possible since June 2006 :)
You used to have to download and intergrate both banlist's but now its a simple case of checking the "enforce bans" option via your team account, this has a number of advantages.
1. The Hub checks every connecting player to your server and if that player is on the MBI he gets kicked.
Probably theres a few more advantages but you get the drift :)

The simple fact that all other streaming initiatives on other servers have worked flawlessly should have alerted your GSP that there was a problem with the PB install for this particular server.
It's always a convenient pass the buck excuse when a server administrator mentions that he's trying to stream, wether its to PBBans or another AC site.
Putting streaming to one side for the time being :P my first and foremost priority would be to get the server to respond to standard PB commands.
Any of these commands should elicit a response off the server;
pb_sv_homepath
pb_sv_ver
wait till there are players on the server;
pb_sv_plist
if you have ftp access and auto pbss enabled (pb_sv_AutoSs 1 ) then there should be pbss in the root pb dir / svss folder.
To put it in a nutshell, when the above commands return a response it will be a safe bet that the streaming commands will work just like they did every other time.
You will probably elicit a better support response off your GSP by asking why you can not get a server response to any of the above commands and not mention streaming at all.
When you are confident that the PB issue has been fixed then we can concentrate on the streaming issue (if there is one) :)

It looks to me like something is forcing your server back to a default setting, probably a cronjob or something similar that forces a daily server restart in the wee hours when no ones about.
I used to do the same with all Jolt public servers I headed up.
The restart will probably automatically exec a cfg that does not include your PBBans ucon settings.
Thats my take on things :)
The PBBans staff member on irc was not being offhand about your situation, its just that we know for sure that the problem is not on the PBBans side of things.
Looks like a classic case of the customer not being always right and getting the runaround.

Our organization has donated to this site for the mere fact that it is volunteer ran and not to mention the free service you provide.
As far as the streaming problem goes, all previous setups on various servers that I have performed have been done flawlessly. On this particular server I have ran the setup several times using the FTP method and the BF2CC method, with no luck at all. I do know which button to use in BF2CC as I double-checked everything repeatedly. When I type in the first command in the setup process it does not write those files to the FTP as they are not there. I checked our old server's FTP (which is in a cancellation proccess) and the files required to stream are still there, even with pbsv.cfg screenshot settings to our liking still remain. Since my eyes can only see as far as the file not being written into our server's FTP, I figured it would be best to cover all bases on this issue by contacting both Pbbans and our server's host, hence this forum topic. This might be an issue that Pbbans is not aware of and might ease some minds in the future. After our server gets reinstalled I will try the BF2CC setup once more and will let you know of the results.
All we need to do now is get our posts in sequence :P
Ever used irc ?
We are on the quakenet network
channel #pbbans
There is a java version you can use on the left hand side of our main website were you can chat "live" to a staff member re any probs your having,.
I find it eliminates the misunderstanding of posted replies.
btw, I meant what I said, if you come across a scenario of not being able to initiate streaming that we have not encountered before, then your input is welcome and we can update the tutorials to include a fix.

I do apologize that I'm not a PBbans Hub Streaming Master, but I'll keep you up-to-date with my progress. :rolleyes:
THe last three servers we had, the streaming went smoothly. The only difference is that on this server that we are setup with now needed Punkbuster to be updated manually. We got ftp access to the server to update PB which went smoothly. Now we just can't get it to work, tried the FTP method and the BF2CC method and nothing. I am thinking it must be an issue with pb folder permissions, could that be the problem?
That was not meant to sound like a detrimental comment Bro, sorry if it came across as such.
At the end of the how to stream tutorial there is a troubleshooting guide.

Does your server respond to bog standard pb commands ?
-
Can someone point me to the tutorial for setting this up please?
try as I might I cannot find out how to set this up. :lol:
-
I'm completely at a loss as to how we can make setting up Hub streaming any simpler.
Any suggestions welcome.
http://www.pbbans.com/forums/index.php?aut...&showfile=9
If you tried the rcon/bf2cc method of initiating streaming and nothing appeared in your root pb folder, the first thing I would check is if your server gives a response to a bog standard pb command.
i.e pb_sv_homepath (this will give you the exact location of your pb root directory)
Permanently bann?
