Clan = Family and when all is said and done thats what we all are here, old hands, new members no difference what so ever and all welcome.
The only time you will get a frosty reception is if you are proven to cheat in PB enabled games.
Dont forget guys part of our ethos is to educate the not so well informed members / admins that care to register and join in the forum activities on these boards. :)
@ Accord, if what you are seeking is joining a very proactive anti cheat site with a view to learning the in's and out's of PunkBuster and how to keep PB enabled servers as cheat free as humanly possible, then your in the right place.
It's knowledge that can hold you in good stead if you find a gaming clan to join up with.
If you find one, point the server admin this way, that will start you off on the right foot. :D

The PB RCon Facility allows admins to give specified players something similar to the normal RCon ability of the game. The Facility is based on guids that are generated for each player, so passwords are not used for this feature at all. This will work with anything that would normally be entered at the server console including commands, settings, etc. even specific to whatever mods you are running at your server. This Facility is based on the PunkBuster Player Power system whereby PB Admins can give power points to their regular players and deputy admins. Stick with the 2 main players in the anti cheat scene that offer PB support for all PB enabled games, and you wont go far wrong.

Is it possible to download the cvar/md5 check scan in order to try it, without streaming to pbbans? I want to try some things out before i stream to pbbans or something. I don't want to make a mess :)
Not possible.
These checks are reserved for admins that contribute something to their respective gaming communities by actively streaming to an anti cheat site.

I checked this into the Hub a short time ago, streaming ok now.

Hi! 2 out of my 3 servers stopped streaming. What's going on? I set streaming correctly and it was streaming. Today I checked my servers and I noticed that 2 of them are not streaming :blink:
A quick check of the 3 servers you have in your team account reveal the following;
217.163.23.16:27960 - PB is disabled.
217.163.30.108:27960 - PB is disabled.
212.187.246.89:27960 - is the one server of the 3 that has PB enabled.
Solution;
Enable PB on the 2 servers that are not streaming.

At the moment we have 121 x bf2142 servers actively streaming, what they are telling you is a load of rubbish, feel free to quote me.

This is rambow with ocsc and this isn't the first incident with the fow. Dyaus-Tech got caught too and he is one of the main fow leaders They have harassed us you name it they have done it. We have our server streaming threw pbbans and the hub caught him not us but we do run a hack free community If you get caught you get banned!!!!! I wish you all the best of luck on getting rid of them..

Seeing as we had not heard a peep out of anyone since December last year, it remains to be seen if you bumping an old thread will create some interest :P

The only thing that will incur an addition to the MBI is a cheat related cvar/MD5 scan or banable PB violation.
Everything else is at the server admins discretion and will result in a short kick for none compliance.

Your server is streaming so np there.
If you follow this simple guide your server will be running the very latest cvar/md5 scans for your particular game genre;

Some of the "blame" if thats what we are discussing :P must lie with the game devs.
CD key in plain text in the registry.
Little back door trojan concealed in an instant level55 program or tweak program.
Result = lots of stolen CD keys.

Looking at CQC rules and regulations I see that all servers require mandatory streaming to psb, does this mean that PBBans streamers will not be allowed to play in CQC ladders.
Please do not view anything that is posted before this time to be considered final.
Maybe the rule should read;
Streaming to a reputable anti cheat site is mandatory.
Dual streaming has been available for quite some time and does not cause any lag etc

Then why not add these cheaters to the MBL as its misleading by having them classed as clean when you know they are not?

No its not misleading.
The only bans that are issued directly by EvenBalance themselves are globalguid / hardware bans.
This type of ban is a completely seperate entity than bans made based on PB sofware banable kick violations, and bans raised by PBBans provided cvar/md5 scans, and as such the global ban information is available to admins who use our services as additional info only.
Globalguid bans are issued by EB for a variety of reasons.
As far as PBBans is concerned the players pbguid is "clean" because it has not raised a banable violation.
We provide the global ban info as a little extra, and is not viewable to the general public.

Finding out that the pb admin for this league is a psb global forum moderator was when everything that had transpired beforehand all fell into place.
Not worth pursuing any sort of compromise when the blinkers are firmly on.

Another option might be to collect this players various IP's and use the old quake3 method of applying a limited range ban.

There are cheats that run outside of the game directory for most PB supported games, and the features toggled on and off via cvar.
It all boils down to a choice thing I guess, thats why we leave it to the individual admin to decide wether to include cheat related cvar checks and bans via the options available in the MBI / MCI.
