I just added your second server and manually updated your forum status etc.
Please be aware that if a server stops streaming and is then reactivated by you it takes a short time priod for the auto updater to kick in.

Hello,
This isn't exactly true.. There has been an undetected aimbot and wallhack for some time now. PunkBuster has to be aware of it as I've emailed them numerous times myself but never got a reply. I guess they can't or just are not worried about stopping the undected cheat.

There will always be undetected cheats out there, the thing to remember is that by general rule of thumb, they do not stay undetected for long.
Anti cheat is all about reaction.
If there were no cheats there would be no need for any reaction, so all we can do is try to keep on top of things as much as is humanly possible.
PBBans employs a high tech streaming initiative that helps immensely on detecting the "undetectable" but the cat and mouse game of cheaters v anti cheat shows no sign of slowing down and I would expect things to carry on in the same vein for as long as there is online multiplayer gaming servers.

Demo's / pbss etc are only accepted from streaming servers m8.

Its a bit anoying to minimize game all the time to shut it down....but i musthave Msn open.
How can i fix it?
It's a bug that creates a wallhack effect when you get the msn popup.
I dont use msn myself, but if memory serves me right, you can disable popups via the msn options.
This has beenwell documented over the years as it happens in a lot of other games too.

It's actually bloody annoying cos you can lose keyboard and mouse input while it's happening. Best thing to do if it bugs you is to disable visible notifications in MSN. I know that does nothing for people who are actually trying to exploit it, but I don't really think it's that easily exploitable anyway. -

Hi,
I've recently switched server locations, with an IP change as result. I added the new server and deleted the old. As everything has been relocated - including all PBBans related files - I think the only thing I need is admin approval. Can you please check and if necessary, inform of any further steps I need to take?

If the old server has bans attributed to it you can change the flags to old server.
This means that if you opt to use one of our l33t signatures, the bans will still be there to be counted. :P

Seems like an internal issue to me.
If he ever raises a bannable violation he will be added to the MBI just like anyone else.
All the rest you have posted is nothing to do with us, if I had a dollar for every player that claimed he had "powers" I'd be rich :P

Hardly an age ago.
If you have a specific query re a mod etc I would suggest contacting the mod maker, all mods I have used on ET servers work ok.

Hey, with the clans that I have been in over the past few years, the servers they had never used punkbuster, so it wasn't until I became an active scrimmer I noticed that everytime I go to a PB server it kicks me straight away. This is ANY Punkbuster server on the whole of Wolfenstien: Enemy Territory. When registering on these forums it told me to get unlimited access that I need rcon to a PB server, this is possible, I own a scrim server and would love to have Punkbuster on there, its 1 less job for me keeping hackers out etc., but this can't happen while every 30 seconds it kicks me. I was kicked again the other day and it gave me a list of violations such as rate settings etc. , I fixed those, it kicked me again but this time it had 0 violations. I don't understand what exactly 'communication failure' means, I have been told that it might be spyware on my computer that is failing to communicate with punkbuster, if this is the case, I would like to find out how exactly to get my anti-virus programs to allow punkbuster's in-going and out-going connectons. As an active scrimmer, it is essential that I can play on punkbuster servers, otherwise things are going to be very tricky. Thanks for reading.

Before doing anything it is essential that you run pbsetup.exe to ensure your game is bang up to date.

We have had;
Enable MD5 AutoUpdates
Enable CVAR Autoupdates
on beta trial for a while now, and if you have those flags checked they will auto update your cvar / md5 checks, when an update has been applied to the MCI for your specific game, but the checks will not be written to memory.
I would suggest the best methods to use for updating cvar / md5 scans are to follow these simple steps;
Step 1. Subscribe to the MCI update thread in your game specific forum section (this means you will be notified of any update)
Step 2. Manually update your cvar / md5 checks after every MCI update using this guide;

Submitted a ticket yesterday when it happened. Checked it later today and says issue believed to be resolved. Resolved?? I am still banned. And whats the resolution. i know you are the admins and PB staff. But give me a break and try, just try to help besides the normal info "fill out a ticket" blah blah. You are supposed to be the cool guys....
Maybe you dont know how things work so I will explain.
We are not PB staff, we are a privately run anti cheat site.
If a player raises a bannable violation directly attributable to PB software on a PBBans streaming server, as per this list;
Cheat/Hack Violations:When PunkBuster detects a cheat or hack by repeated positive identification on a player's computer, a violation is raised. These violation numbers are 50000 and higher. Families of cheats are listed below. Resolution: Remove cheats and hacks from the computer.
#50000s - Aimbot
#60000s - Wallhack
#70000s - Multihack
#80000s - Gamehack
#90000s - 'Cheat' Video Drivers
#100000s - Speedhack
#110000s - Autofire
#120000s - Game Hook
#130000s - Attempted PunkBuster Hack
The players server assigned pbguid is added to the Master Ban Index automatically.
The only recourse open to that player is to open a troubleticket with EvenBalance, explain all that has happened giving as much detail as possible and ask if its possible that this violation is not valid.
If EB say the violation is not valid the ban will be removed from the MBI.
If EB say the violation is valid the ban will remain.
It really is that simple.
You can continue all you want, but without a response off EB saying that the violation is not valid, there is no way a bannable violation and resulting ban will be removed.
If your just going to open new topics on the same issue but no real update to add, it could lead to a forum ban and thats no good for anyone.

No everything is the same but when I changed the game to bf2 it stopped streaming, havent had the time to have a proper look
I would suggest concentrating on your cod4 server first and foremost Bro, once that gets sorted you can feck around with your bf2 one to your hearts content.

I have completely deleted the 2142 / bf2 server from our systems.
If you want to stream it you will have to start from scratch.
The cod4 server is not configured properly for hub streaming.
Without looking at your pb configs I can not pinpoint what the problem is, there is a troubleshooting guide here;

Yes please, I changed my bf2142 to a bf2 server which stopped it streaming, was having problems with the console commands
My cod4 server stops streaming most days, not sure how to keep it streaming, I enter all these commands and then verify its streaming, Am I doing something wrong?

Not sure if this is in the right section but my servers have been deactivated and there isnt an option to "view servers" in my account management anymore
Also I can no longer view the game admin forums, I had started a thread in there

Both these servers are de-activated atm because of none streaming or by account holder, do you want them set as active m8 ?
All forum permissions revolve around wether your streaming or not, with no streaming servers your forum status is auto downgraded to member.

I dont think there will be another community that was spawned from players who played one map that lasts as long as the one we were part of Wild :)
The servers still there but it seems the playerbase has moved on :(
