BF4 Streaming Support now Available

Server admins can now add Battlefield 4 servers for streaming.

 

Our Automated Streaming Setup tool now supports BF4 (1.33):

I'm pretty sure I have set mine up correctly and when I look at the master stream list I see out of 11 servers 0 are streaming.

Is it running? If I recall it will need to be connected to the blaze backend for streaming to work which I'm unsure is online for BF4 yet.

 

I don't have access to a server to troubleshoot so I'm just guessing.

I just got a 10 slot test server but there are no ucon errors in the pb logs which makes be believe the IP may be wrong for streaming but I can't seem to find the rcon port.

Doesn't the old school method of working out the rcon port work ?

gaming port + 22000 = rcon port

Seems with gameservers port 30000 is the game and rcon port.

 

First off it seems PB is disabled and sending punkBuster.activate will enable it. However streaming doesn't work for me so far. Nothing but header mismatches and the ucon session count is just increasing so may be a bug or require a player on the server.

This type of issue has become "old news" over the last few Battlefield releases ... it's what happens when cheat sites have access to the server files and anti cheat sites have access to nothing, so nothing can be debugged prior to retail release.

That's odd. PB is being disabled on it's own it seems and the server is ranked.

I was just got this response from NFO on this issue:

 

"The last word from EA is that they're doing intermittent maintenance, which will cause PB not to start up at all during those periods."

yeah i was told by NFO they are working on it. I have seen the header mismatch and PB disabled messages through out the day.

MaydaX rented an NFO server out of his own pocket so he could troubleshoot PB issues on our behalf.

Requested that PB be updated.

Got a link to one of his own posts as an explanation as to why they can not update PB;

MaydaX has the updated PB files but has no way to upload them.

We have no server files so no way to effectively debug anything.

We are totally reliant on RSPs to update anything and they have a basic grasp of PB at best, and not a lot of knowledge re streaming.

Meanwhile, cheat sites have had the server files for quite some time and are promising that cheats will be available on day1 of retail release.

Sound familiar anyone.

Tried using automated streaming setup and got the following log entry. 

 

[iNIT] Opening connection ...

********************************ERROR********************************
PunkBuster server is disabled. Please enable it!
**********************************************************************

 

Server startup.txt has

 

vars.punkBuster 1

 

Is that correct?

I tried both options and was informed by the server host Punkbuster will not work until EA fixes it.

 

Shows PB set to 1 but off on Battlelog and when I try to run the Streaming Setup I receive
