  1. It's always a welcome alliance, to be able to team up with yet another AC-site, and fight what we all hate the most. Welcome all, and thanks to |RA| for adding to our joint-effort in the battle to keep game-servers cheat-free. :)
  2. And RodeoBob had to say it..... ;) Get your streaming app in, for sure, and perhaps have the llama added to the ban-list here, as well as let us in on what it is he's doing. ;)
  3. I posted this link to one of my former clan-members who runs a mac, and had no issue playing etpro, on a 2.60b patched linux server. One of the issues found, if memory serves me correctly, is that Mac players can play on Linux servers, but not Windows servers, with the 2.60b patch installed. Not quite sure of the why on that, but I know the patch, server-side, also included the Mac-required files, and when I ran an ET server, had them installed, and players with Mac's could connect with no issue, regardless of running the etpro mod.
  4. Would sound like an odd glitch to me, unless they've found a new way to "spoof".
  5. I doubt he's coming back anytime soon. No servers, brother banned, and he blames us for said issues. I do believe he joined the #whine&care unit. Problem solved, let's move forward.
  6. In Vista, be sure to be logged into the computer via your Administrator account, and then right-click the game icon and select "run as administrator" as well. One of the more annoying features of Vista, to say the least.
  7. I just want to take a minute to thank you for your patience in this matter, as well as for showing a maturity level that is usually lacking in these matters, and more often than not, ends in a negative fashion for the poster. Your ability to keep a cool head, and to go through the evenbalance ticket, as well as your polite posts are appreciated, and bode very well for you. Thanks for that. :) Due to the nature of the ban, You will also have to do the same with PsB, or www.punksbusted.com which is a seperate entity and run as a completely seperate anti-cheat site, but I'm sure that they will also welcome your manner, and appreciate that you've gone through the neccessary steps to clear yourself. The world needs more people like you.
  8. If you've got commandline access, change the name of your server.cfg file to something only you'd know, and exec it via the commandline on your server. That will save you the issue of the player being able to download your server.cfg file and thus allow him to have your rcon pass.
  9. Ignoring queries is generally a communication error between the player and pb. Make sure PnkBstrA.exe and PnkBstrB.exe are allowed to connect to the internet by your firewall. If you've got a fairly decent high-speed connection, try entering /cl_maxpackets 60 (or value up to 100) into your game's console. If you play behind a router, try connecting directly to your modem and see if the issue goes away. Also, make sure to run pbsetup.exe to update your pb as an in-case.
  10. You can stream your server as an individual. If you've already read the ToS you'll know we don't refute solo-streamers, as long as you pass our checks and balances ;) Start here. http://www.pbbans.com/account_application.php
  11. ET will for-ever remain a free game, and thus hard-banning someone becomes near impossible. They can change a few hardware components, gain a new MAC, IP, and cd-key and carry on. For that matter, they can just gain a new cd-key and carry on, depending on how your server is operated, and what your limitations are. ET is a great game, and I've spent my share of time running servers for it, and playing it. I retired from it this past winter due to interests elsewhere(COD4) and went on with the day. Is it a lost cause? That's up to you, not me. I'd personally rather play newer games, but some still prefer the older ones. ;)
  12. Is your server run from at home? Or on a rented server?
  13. As I stated, check specifically for your game's settings via evenbalance.com ;) Not all games run exactly the same way.
  14. PB_SV_LogCeiling [Number] The highest serial number (default is 1000) that PunkBuster will use in numbering its log files before starting over at 1 Snipped from http://www.evenbalance.com/publications/co...ex.htm#settings You can only go so high before the counter starts over again. The same settings regarding ss apply to all games, as far as I know, but checking directly at evenbalance.com per your game specifically may shed some different information on the exact perameters for it.
  15. Why would you want to do that?
  16. Best thing you can do is get your server streaming, if you're main admin of it. If not, get your clan's main admin streaming the server. Rules here are pretty simple, and reading the ToS on the main page will lead you in the right direction. ;) If you need help, feel free to ask one of us on irc.
  17. Every once in a while a player or server admin has to manually update their client or server with the downloadable htm files from www.evenbalance.com This may perhaps be your current situation. Click the link, click on your game, and read a bit regarding what files you may need to download and install manually, and where to put them. The htm files should be right-clicked on and then choose save target as and target them towards the htm folder within your pb folder for your game. These are game-specific, so make sure you're on your game's related page.
  18. It is quite possible that he deleted your server from your account. Does he also have access to the server itself? If so, you should fix that issue as well, and then make sure you re-enable streaming via the how-to links in Fozzer's signature.
  19. Reading the threads at tweakforce.com, some people still experience black screen-shots, or for that matter, began getting them after using the tweakforce drivers. I would say give them a try, and see if it works for you. Solutions in the matter of black ss will work one way for one person, and a different way for another. The idea being to find the solution that works for you and your particular hardware.
  20. Black screen shots are a known issue and are not even kicked for by evenbalance or PBBans. What a local server-admin does is up to him, although I can say I don't personally kick/ban for them on my own server either.
  21. Some motherboards allow you to change your MAC address at will. I have such, and changing it is no big deal. A lot of over-clocker oriented boards support this feature. Home servers may allow more "control" to some degree, but at the same time, I've yet to see a home server that can support the bandwidth required to be a proper online gameserver. Home users just don't get the bandwidth required to support many players from various locations, and tend to suffer lag as a result. That's one reason to run with a rented server, to be sure. FYI, Blindman is an old friend of mine from the ET world, and I've known him to be pretty knowledgeable on how to run servers, amongst other things. I'm not here to crap on him. I'm just stating some facts regarding home servers vs rented, at least with a decent host. Bandwidth is something that costs a premium dollar, and your average home-user can't get it, or can't afford it. It takes a bit more than a home-connection to run a gameserver that people can connect to without to many issues, on a regular basis.
  22. The help is free, and there to be used, at anytime. I think you'll find any staff member that can take a minute or two to help is willing to do so, as we've all got one common goal in mind. :) Glad things seem to be getting back up to par. I'm not personally familiar with your game, so some of those issues were definitely new to me, but the commuication error was definitely evident. There's more than a few knowledgeable staff that will likely be able to get you up and streaming properly that should be around this weekend, I'll be back in full force after the weekend as I work weekends, and get the odd post in here and there, but am mostly away. If no one's gotten to you, please feel free to let me know, and I'll be happy to work thru it a bit more with ya. This time my ISP won't be screwing with my connection, to boot....ugh at the load-times for configs the other night. :(
  23. You don't have autoss turned on, and if anything will cause lag, it's that setting that would. Usually related more to Windows-based servers. Your MD5 checks are 180 seconds or 3 minutes apart, so those shouldn't cause to much of an issue. You could back them off to 300 seconds or 5 minutes as a test. Can't see anything there that would give you lag, though.
  24. Yes, you can stream to both, without issue. Just be aware that auto-updates will over-write your configs from one to another, so you'll likely want to use the manual update option on your servers, as both use the same config files, and each is different.
  25. I did not mean to dis-include TGL in any way, shape or form. As RodeoBob said, any league with the Zero-Tolerance stance, or for that matter, any gaming clan, server admin, or individual, has a home here. It's just really nice to see a league that stands on it. TGL and FGL stand tall and proud, as well as almost alone amongst the many. Job well done to both leagues.
