  1. your post topic is 208.101.18.200:27800 - but your server IP/Pport shows as 208.101.18.200:27888

your post requests hub streaming but your server has shown up as a new server in the rep :)

I have had your chosen username and password sent on to me and your server is added to the Rep

    PBBans Repository Server Search

Server Status: Server is streaming via Rep

    Server Info

    Clan Tag: {XF}

    Server IP: 208.101.18.200:27888

    Last Streaming: August 30, 2006 11:22 pm

    btw - welcome aboard :P

  2. THanks for that... i have loads pb points on our server but i still dont know the command to change map... can ya just tell me what it is please.

as long as PB_RCon is set up right server side, and you have enough points to execute the command

    /PB_RCon map mp_carentan

    for example would suffice
  3. I have a few questions regarding bans, I have a ban.txt on both my servers, with names and last 6 of guid on there, is that sufficent for bans? My PBBAN llooks lilke last time it was updated was 2005, I have put people in that ban.txt and they were still able to connect, any help on setting up a ban list that works would be greatly apprecieated.

    Thanks!

    Joe

    ;)

you run a cod:uo server with punkbuster running - that tells me that you have a pb folder with all your pb stuff in it, including a pbbans.dat file - this is were all your bans are stored - names and a last 6 of a guid is not recommended and judging by what you posted the ban.txt is not very efficient :)

    why use this command:

    /banUser [name]

Bans a user by their ingame name. Writes their GUID to ban.txt

    when you can use:

pb_sv_plist // this shows all complete pb guid's plus a lot more - followed by pb_sv_banguid [32 digit guid here]

a remote rcon tool such as hlsw would be invaluable to you and i have sent you a tutorial on its setup and use via forum pm - you can download the latest version of hlsw here click me

  4. to answer your original question :P

everything that is detected by the Rep is also detected by the PBBans Hub - Rep streaming is best suited to private clan servers that are used just for wars and will stand empty for long periods of time - Hub streaming is ideal for busy public servers - as always its entirely up to the peeps that pay for their server what method suits best and its always best practise to actually read the info on the streaming guides to help you decide - the PBBans Hub works just as well as a stand alone method of streaming and by doing that it free's up the standard Rep method of streaming if the server admin wants to stream to another repository.

  5. with Rep streaming the logs get parsed in the early hours of the morning every 24 hours and anyone who has raised a violation gets added to the MBI.

with Hub streaming everything is instant - for example, if there are 1000 ET servers streaming via the PBBans Hub and a cheater is caught on 1 of them, 4-5 seconds later that cheater is added to the other 999 Hub servers pbbans.dat - you dont have to do a thing - the Hub never ceases to amaze me in what its capable of and there are enhanced features being worked on - the Hub streamers also get all the Rep catches automatically added to their pbbans.dat as soon as they appear on the MBI, you will see on your pbbans.dat entries it states either PBBans Rep or PBBBans Hub - anyone that successfully appeals a ban gets removed from all Hub streamers pbbans.dat instantly as well.

as far as i am aware PBBans is the only anti-cheat site who have managed to successfully utilise pbucon as a streaming option and since its conception we have tripled the amount of streaming servers we have with us - the Hub is capable of handling 6,500+ servers so there is plenty of room for all :)
