    Hi...I´m Back! :P

     

    Sorry, but since we started to HUB-stream, our PING has doubled! <_>

    Is this common?

    streaming has a negligible effect on players ping and if streaming was the culprit i'm sure our streaming game admins would have raised the issue before now :)

    hopefully one day et will be cheat free, please keep up all the good work you all do at pbbans. :)

    np m8 - as long as we have admins that elect to stream to the PBBans repository we will continue to do our best to keep those admins fully up to date with anti cheat info :)

    We will also do our best to answer any question you may have in a professional, courteous and informative manner - it may be unpalatable at times but all we can offer is truth - what you do with that truth is entirely your concern, but at least your now in possession of all the relevant facts to help you with any decision you may make in the future concerning players who are flagged up with full blown pb hack detections.

    let me clarify things for you m8 :) - anyone that has raised a violation for any of the following:

     

    Cheat/Hack Violations:

    When PunkBuster detects a cheat or hack by repeated positive identification on a player's computer, a violation is raised. These violation numbers are 50000 and higher. Families of cheats are listed below. Resolution: Remove cheats and hacks from the computer.

    #50000s - Aimbot

    #60000s - Wallhack

    #70000s - Multihack

    #80000s - Gamehack

    #90000s - 'Cheat' Video Drivers

    #100000s - Speedhack

    #110000s - Autofire

    #120000s - Game Hook

    #130000s - Attempted PunkBuster Hack

     

    can only be removed from any anti-cheat ban list if EvenBalance tell us it was a false positive (false positive = a mistake) - false positives are normally caused by some other software programme running at the same time as the game and causing an abnormal reaction from PB software, i have never heard of a false positive being raised for a multihack offence.

    The only way forward for this particular player would be to raise a trouble ticket with EvenBalance and they will investigate the matter, but seeing as he has done a fresh install of ET this route would be pointless, as the player has to duplicate the violation using the same setup as he was using when the violation was raised.

    If no one else has said this before let me say it now, the owner of pbguid 02d4a58aff3bc0435f4d9059086d5a85 will stay on our banlist for a multihack violation and all his subsequent pguid's will be linked on our MPI3 to that violation.

    With ET being a free game it generates a new pbguid with each install, so his current pbguid will allow him to play as normal (he could have just deleted his ETkey file in main it would have the same effect) - its that easy.

    I dont care how old he is or how computer literate he is, he had a full blown PB hack violation raised against him and in 99.99% of cases, that = hacker.

    If a ban is appealed to PBBans for further investigation it gets looked at and voted on as to wether it stays on the master ban index or gets rescinded - appeals for full blown pb detections get rejected as standard and the automated mail reply will only state that it has been rejected and nothing else.

    To sum up - there is no doubt and no mistake was made - 02d4a58aff3bc0435f4d9059086d5a85 had a multihack violation flagged against it and will stay on the Master Ban Index.

    the difference between the 2 methods of streaming is explqained in the setup guides - the reason we would like to know if you chose Rep or Hub is because your server does not show as streaming via the Hub and does not show as a new server in the Rep list - so, we need to know what method you chose to offer advice on troubleshooting
