They seem to be able too make guids anything nowadays and by using www.yawn.be can get the guids of any player by name :o
damn them :blink:
there is no way to my knowledge that a guid can be taken off yawn or anywhere else and used by someone to play online with malicious intent

And tbh with out a little more information they do seem to be standard stock file mismatches..
firstly a question or two .. do you have the game ?
do you know what the stock files for FEAR are?
the onus is always on the admin to provide proof and as i never tire of pointing out,all our bans on the MBI are backed up by proof gained from streaming servers .. it is not our job to provide psb with hacks or indeed any type of info re the hacks we have dissected for cvars and md5 scans,psb have enough staff to keep on top of things re hack detection, but i thought it prudent to point out to one of their staff members for FEAR to check things out before making wrong assumptions .. what i find quite incredulous is that the same psb staff member deems it right to post on a public forum that PBBans has FEAR bans on the MBI that are just stock file mismatches when in fact they are all valid cheat catches, thus far i see no apology for making wrong assumptions and the thread itself has denigrated to this:
I've already went rounds via pm over at pbbans and figured out pretty quick the operators of pbbans is just as much a dushbag as Cobraderra.
i was an admin he had a few pm's with and i can see that by maintaining a professional approach and dialogue with an obvious psb fan results in being labelled a dushbag (i guess he cant spell douche) but what he neglects to say is that he and his mate who came over looking for a fight both have accounts here (one member and one game admin) and are free to post any questions etc that they want, last time i checked its open house here and no form of censorship exists.
i pm'd the staff member who made the mistake of thinking cheat files were stock ones and gave him the correct information,what does he do with it? ... nothing .. in fact he accuses me of deleting his posts on some FEAR forum i had never heard of lol,another prime example of wrong assumptions
end result the pbbans "quality over quantity" adage is not just a hollow phrase,our admins have collected the latest FEAR hacks and ban for them and instead of slagging us off the psb guys should be grateful that we have exposed an obvious flaw in their cheat collection/detection methods that they have, as yet, not closed off
so thanks for defending us icheban :) but no matter what gets posted on other sites we intend to carry on giving a quality service to anyone who is willing to see beyond the bigger is better adage

my server is streaming but since it started last week several regular players have had major ping/pb probs?
any ideas?

I DID buy my own copy honestly, so i cant work out how that many people have it , could some one get my key from me when i am playing on line ?
why have i just been banned if that many people have it , i was playing this morning no probs.
surley they didnt all get it today ?
this global ban thing has been running for months why do i get banned now when i play every night ... sumthing dosent add up.
my copy was bought from the shop when the game came out, all other honest people should look out i cant be the only one who this has happened to

this type of ban is imposed and dealt with exclusively by evenbalance and can only be looked at and any action taken, by EvenBalance

as you can see, a lot more than just you have that cd key, hence the global guid ban.

there were a lot of unsubstantiated rumours not so long ago re sof3 .. the one post i read that rang true was this:
SOF3 is a project we are considering, but nothing has been signed or announced yet.

although hlsw can view fear servers i'm not sure if you can input commands via the console,and fear is as yet not listed in the games supported section ... part of the tutorial deals with IP banning .. hope its of some help to ya :)

It would have the "Admin Decision" phrase if it was an admin kick. I don't think it's fake. It's just a changed message prefix.
if thats the case then TheWhooosamo can look to see if its been changed in the pbsv.cfg
anyways ..as this was just a kick then the pb_sv_PowerKickLen setting would have determined the length of time said kick was for, so no harm done, except the mispelt kick message makes everyone think the server is run by a not so bright admin :P

looks like some admin has faked a kick/ban message and if this applies to just that server i would contact the server owner and give him all the info you have posted here, thats assuming you would want to play on a server were an admin has zero integrity :)
lol .. just noticed its your own server :P
anyone with rcon can produce that fake kick/ban message either while connected to the server or via a remote console (i.e. HLSW)
resolution: change the rcon pass and only the server owner/payee gets full rcon access :)
the ban of Ace_King_Suited can be found in your pb folder/pbbans.dat (complete with mispellings) :P

every mod i play for various games creates its own folder .. for example i have ETmain as standard and i also have ETpro/Etpub/Jaymod folders as well .. never had an issue with playing a modded vers of any game i play

pbweb works just fine for updating new clan servers i set up :)
