On your own website, you apologize and reinstate bans on other violations after reviewing them further. All I am asking is if maybe this needs to be done here
there is a hell of a difference between a sof2 pk3 that raised a handful of bans and a cheat dll caught with a md5 scan, and no, it does not need to be done here.
what server was he caught on ?
does that server stream to PBBans?
does the server run PBBans configs?

im new to the admin thing and i am wondering can i stream my BF2 Ranked server or not ...as i would like to bust as many punks as i can and keep my server fun for every one to play ..:):):)

Since a lot of server companies don't allow access to the server files you can at least do this to get your server streaming to pbbans.
In BF2CC send the following commands:
pb_sv_logaddr 63.171.64.22
pb_sv_logport 24389
pb_sv_loguser yourusername
pb_sv_logpw yourpassword
Then do a pb_sv_writecfg to save these settings to the server.
if you use this option .. dont forget to pm a staff member with your selected username and password :)

OK.... I came here for answers. You have given me none. Could this have been caused by an inexperienced server admin and the MD5tools themselves?
Is it possible that it could have been installed in some mod he picked up? PB kicks for fx_sort as well. I have joined servers that force my settings to values i dont want them to be.
you wanted answers and from what i see you have all you need to know :) the answers just dont fit in with your perception of what your friend is like .. let me go through it all for you ..your friend connected to a server that has a vigilant admin who runs md5 scans on all connecting players for known hack dll's / exe's etc .. your friends computer was detected as having a known hack dll in his game directory .. your friend got kicked for this violation and is probably on that servers banlist .. if the server streams its logs to an anti cheat site he will be on their banlist and that banlist will be available to any admin who wants to integrate bans with their own .. as far as i'm aware no one bans for an fx_sort kick but that is not what you were asking about .. bottom line is, your friend got busted with a cheat dll in his game directory .. if the dll was not there it would not have been detected and all would be well in the world :)
you have 2 options .. you can have complete faith in your friend and continue to play servers that dont have him on their banlist.
or you can drop him from the clan and move on

what hack is it from, i have seen in tons of forums about md5 tool problems, all even balance gives is a 9002 cvar issue.
no offence but,i aint about to give complete strangers any hack information that we possess, suffice to say that cod2.dll is present in 3 hacks that we know about and have in our cheat collection point so no mistake in our detection of said dll B)

Can someone shed some light on this one for me? My friend was kicked for this one.... and I see someone has been put on the banlist for it. Now, I know %125 for sure that he doesnt hack, nor has he modified any files in his game. The team we were going to scrim all started screaming hax and kicked our whole team from their server. Now, I dont know about anyone else, but my friend was not hacking and we would like to know what is going to be done about this.
cod2.dll is from a known hack .. this means that your friend or someone who has access to his computer downloaded/installed a cheat for cod2,with that in mind i can quite categorically state that absolutely nothing will be done about this :) from your complete belief in your friend not being a cheat i take it you were sitting beside him when he got his kick and can confirm that a hack was not present in his game directory :P

i keep getting kicked from apocs server by pb it say tatical_training.aao why is this happening i do not know whats going on this is the first time it is happening.
if its just the one server your being kicked from,maybe this question would be better aimed at the server admin :)

when cod2 sorts out all the bugs that are currently afflicting it ..like 31 character guids that change every time you join a server i'm sure you will see the ban count start to rise :)

i bene playing this game for quiet a while cdkey is clean and all i recently got a new pc i use a standard vid card but everytime someone takes a pb ss of me it turns out black i dont got a pb blocker nor ddo i know how to use one of those. any ideas of what to do i already checked all my sof folders deleted half of the files streamed from the servers

there are a variety of reasons why a pbss turns out all black,ranging from what operating system the client is using to what hardware set up is in the clients pc .. the time to check a bit more thouroughly is if you get all black screenshots mixed in with good ones .. this is just a small indicator of a pbss blocker in use but is by no means a rule of thumb :)
unless your getting bugged by a particular admin as to why your producing just all black pbss i would not worry too much about it :)

I suggest you contact www.evenbalance.com and fill out a support ticket. Give them the violation # and any supporting logs. EvenBalance can tell you what the violation is associated with, but like Bob stated above, to our knowledge that is not a bannable violation. Meaning will not add that violation to our banlist as it is not yet proven to be cheat or anti punkbuster related.

Note #2: These kicks are when PunkBuster detects a modification of your game exe running in memory. I recommend that you run a virus/malware scan of your computer to see if anything is trying to attach itself to the running program. Also run a memory stress test to see if there is a fault there that could be causing issues. You can find such a program on the following website:

How do I know if I am PunkBuster Authenticated?
Old versions of PunkBuster went through "Authentication" procedures every few minutes and announced when each player had been Authenticated. The newer, integrated version is constantly Authenticating players during gameplay. To check your current status, press the tilde key (~) to bring down the Game Console. Enter "pb_plist" into the Game console (without the quotes) and then press the Tab key so the Game knows you are entering a command, then press the Enter key. The current PunkBuster status of all players will be displayed - use the PageUp / PageDown keys if necessary to scroll the console text up and down. There are 3 modes of PunkBuster status: INIT, UPDT, and OK. If it says OK next to a player's name, then that player is currently Authenticated.

for what its worth stymie ..when i first read your post i did a count and came up with 31 at first .. i even split the guid into packets of 5 and came up with 31 ..when i mentioned it to foxdie on irc he came up with 32 .. wtf lol .. maybe its 31 paranoia setting in but like you m8 i elected to crawl under the same rock lolol :DYour correct ... I am the dumbass
When I looked at it in the banlist it looked "short" ... I counted and counted and counted and I always came up short.
Thanks to all that looked into this, I will crawl back under my rock.
i even checked the streamed log later and it was a 32 guid ..an age thing i guess :P

Well i added another one manually to ban data on our server for the screenshot i took which is posted in the Master Ban Index (MBI) section to be added. You can view it there it is also a 31 charechter guid. Its a hack not sure which one but a violation that pb didnt pick up on, only knew by the pb screenshot.
although we do our best to keep on top of released hacks re cvar and md5 scans .. there are a few private hacks that as yet are unidentified and will only be picked up by vigilant admins via pbss .. personally i check all the servers i have access to,twice a day for hacks that will only be spotted via this method.
Adding a 31 character guid to your banlist will do no good m8 .. from what i understand the guid changes each time you enter a different server .. what is needed is an official release of linux binaries that at least have PB working correctly :)

i dont see your servers in the repository m8 .. have you added pb_sv_load pbsvlog.cfg to your pbsv.cfg and have you executed a pb_sv_restart ?

(I.C.E) AcE is quite correct m8 .. PB is a damn fine piece of anti cheat software,the best there is, but it needs a little help to keep on top of released hacks .. we do our best to ensure that PBBans has the latest information for all PB supported games to make servers streaming to us as cheat free as is possible :)

Hello, My clan has a new Ip 209.190.30.66:20100 SOF2. Can you please get us up streaming. I have already executed the rcon commands..thanks!
i see 2 sof2 servers in the repository for -=FUCKU=- clan:
70.84.11.235:20200 - active / in repository / not streaming
209.190.30.66:20100 - active / in repository / not streaming
both have the same username and password (which is correct btw :) )
if you have ftp access i find the easiest way to ensure trouble free streaming is to create a pbsvlog.cfg in notepad with this information in it (dont forget to select the all files option when you save it )and upload to your PB folder:
pb_sv_LogAddr 63.171.64.22
pb_sv_LogPort 24389
pb_sv_LogUser USER
pb_sv_LogPw PW
then add this command to your pbsv.cfg:
pb_sv_load pbsvlog.cfg //load remote logging settings (if pbsvlog.cfg exists)
execute a pb_sv_restart or restart your server
its a sure way to ensure trouble free streaming :)

Its causing some problems.
if you take a look at the MCI for cod2 you will see that a lot of the cvar checks are disabled at the moment pending further investigation .. i think initially all cheat protected cvars were used from a default cfg but not entirely sure :)
