    PBBANS SERVER WITH NO FOG

    I was in playing BF2 today at a particular streaming server and there was no fog....... This could be adventageous for the admins of this server as a screenshot will get people banned who are not intentionally playing without fog. The name of this server is GP Jalabad infantry only or also known as the gravepackers clan....... I would appreciate it if u would remove them from streaming server or at least until they fix this problem so it does not affect people playing there.

     

    Hello ]ESF[ Helo001, if you have come to do a bit of stirring your in the wrong place.

    The view you see is your own view and unless you have admin access anything you say is purely conjecture and innuendo.

    A staff member has jumped onto that server and everything appears normal.(you were on there at the same time)

    If you are seeing no fog I would not hang about on there if I was you.

    pbguid 7de24500a7487a7008945e4dd96cf343 has been used by players in Germany and Switzerland.

     

    The German player raised the bannable violation, and thats why you have a normal member forum account and not a restricted one.

     

    First seen on a PBBans streamed server Feb 04, 2008 at 3:03 pm and used by a German player.

     

    Banned April 8, 2009 7:54 am for using a cheat (no mistake or error, digital fingerprint is an exact match for the cheat file)

     

    Ban has never been appealed (waste of time because it will be denied)

     

    PBBans mpi data can not be altered in any shape or form, (I suspect other anti cheat sites will say the same)

     

    Were did you buy the original German version, because it looks like someone in Germany offloaded a copy of cod 4 they had used to cheat with.

    I find it quite refreshing that DICE personel are at least taking an active interest in what PBBans has to offer re anti cheat.

    I should imagine that game devs thought that intergrating Punkbuster into their games would be enough to placate the players and admins that are their customer base.

    Although I think that PB is the best anti cheat program out there, I also think that streaming to a 3rd party anti cheat site is a necessity these days rather than a luxury.

    A hell of a lot of concerned admins have found out the hard way the truth of that statement.

    Even if nothing positive transpires from the dialogue that Maydax has been having with DICE employee's re server files etc, at least the DICE guys are now aware that we exist, and more importantly how much regard our streaming game admins have for PBBans assistance in keeping their servers as cheat free as possible.

    Now, if only we could find a member of EA legal who actually games and runs a server to check us out, we might be in with a chance of making a positive, proactive contribution in keeping BFBC2 as cheat free as humanly possible. :scratchchin:

     

    There will always be undetected private cheats knocking about, but the MD5 scans we provide coupled with the Generic Bind Scans (exclusive to PBBans) make a server admins life a lot easier in fighting the good fight.

    Disallowed Program Driver (125141)

    Its rivatuner,I disabled it for a test, but screw that, I need rivatuner, overclocks my gfx card, controls my fan speed, displays important info on my screen.

    I have absolutely no issues with any other activision game"cod1,cod2,cod4mw1 & nor the BFBC2 Beta".

     

    Gonna uninstall waw, uhwell.

    fozzer I went into server and remote logged in and tried both of them commands pb_sv_ver and pb_sv_homepath and the server does not have a responce for either of them.

     

    If everything is working correctly, those 2 commands should elicit an immediate response from a PB enabled server.

    I am not at all familiar with farcry2, but I am familiar with PB :P

     

    Might be worth asking your host to reinstall a fully updated version of PB and see were we go from there.

    Hey there, I was trying to access the MPi (in which I had access to about a week ago) and was unable to search. After going through my server status here at PBBans, I noticed that it wasn't active, so I clicked the activate button and come to a screen that said that the IP was blacklisted... I'm not sure why or what happened. The IP is 207.210.254.99:28961. We signed up with a different IP address, but about a month or two into the first IP address, we switched server companies. Please help!

     

    The server was placed on the blacklist because it was using cracked binaries.

    I have removed it from the blacklist, but before you add it to your team account please ensure that it is not cracked.

    Hi

    Our main admin who set our 3 servers to stream has left our clan and shut down the streaming account.

    I have tried to re apply but it says the clan tag is already in use. How do go about sorting this out?

    Get the current master user of the team account to post up declaring he has left the clan, and it will be handed over to you or a chosen representative. (provided the representative passes the validity checks)

    I have sent the master user of the usqc team account a private message.

     

    I find it very disturbing that PBBans staff and their fellow SGA's have to lead them by the nose re disecting the incremental information that accompanies MBI entries.

    If they want to apply a local ban on you they should stop hiding behind a ban that was applied to someone from Japan using your alias.

    How they come to the conclusion that you and the guy banned are linked will be interesting ... they say you learn new things every day ... this might be one of them.

    The reason why I'm writing this is there are still admins who dont know what a name hack is...at any rate can you guys please post a response here please that clearly states this is not me, so I can forward any admins of servers who question if I'm legitimate or not... this is still causing me problems and it would be nice to give these admins on the servers I play on a link thats states I never cheated... Pls state as much info as you can to quickly clear this situations up for me pls... thanks in advance

    Issues with the GAMEHOOK EVENBALANCE VIOLATION

    Is there any new info from VIOLATION (GAME HOOK) 125134? Is it valid or false violation? In ESL many players been banned due to that violation, so is there any info from EB ...is it gonna stay, or gonna be lifted?

    We have had no information passed to us re false positives for this violation.

    What we have seen are quite a few appeals claiming false positive and replies from EvenBalance staff saying the violation was not triggered in error.

    So at this moment in time we have no choice other than to follow EvenBalance advice and say the raised violation and subsequently issued bans are valid.

    If there is a change of heart from EvenBalance in the future, it takes 2 minutes to purge false positives from our systems / send unban commands via the hub / post up in the MBI news section.

    punkbuster message box when trying to play on tdgclan us bf 2142 servers all other bf2142 servers i can play any suggestions?

    Given that this happens only on one clans servers, and you have already stated;

    I cant find a contact e-mail address for tbgclan do you have one? My player name is frostysnowman2 dont you have a list of banned players for the tbgclan servers i dont want to push this if they dont want me on their servers there are plenty others to play the game on

    I would suggest playing elsewhere would be your best option.

     

    If you want to persue your particular issue with the guys concerned, the only clan that streams here and fits your search pattern is;

    New server

    Server was streaming when initially added and the relevant forum upgrades were applied.

    Since then, the server has stopped streaming and the forum upgrades were downgraded automatically.

    Any none streaming issues are always client side.

    It might be a simple matter of adding a task to the servers pbsv.cfg, so that the server sends regular heartbeats to the Hub;

    pb_sv_task 0 7200 pb_sv_ver

    or it could be that the streaming initiation commands need to be resent to the server;

    And the Webtool setup is something really nice and fast!

    I ran it and it's mentioned that our server should be ready for action now!!!

     

    On another note, our team (5532) as different clan tag and slightly modified clan name.

    I tried to find the way to mod it, but couldn't. I can only change the link to our webpage?

    I did a search of a new ET server that i play to see if it streamed to pbbans and recived this: The server you have entered was not found to be streaming to PBBans

     

    Posted this in a forum extolling the virtues of that site if they should stream to pbbans and received this response (from an admin of a rival ET server I might add)

     

    "PBBANS no longer issue bans nor do they add to their ban list for ET due in part to guid spoofing, so streaming to them is not going to produce any greater advantage." thread on forum

     

    Is this true?

     

    Because when I was an admin of an ET server a year or 2 ago and we streamed to pbbans it appeared to periodically catch cheaters, I thought it was a good service.

     

    We keep the MD5/cvar scans etc bang up to date for ET.

    The PBBans Hub still kicks for detected bannable violations but does not add the player caught to the MBI.

    We do, however, have an unofficial banlist that admins that use our services can download and use.

     

    The one thing that we can not do is compromise the integrity of our banlist's.

    As long as ET server admins have control of the pb_sv_guidrelax setting and the pb_sv_guidauth setting, we can not, in all good conscience, place potentially innocent players on our official banlist.

     

    We had proof of concept sent to us showing how easy the spoofing was to apply.

    The ones that stood out all had a columbian IP, the others had IP's from all over europe and the USA.

    That, in a nutshell, is why PBBans decided to suspend banning re ET.

    It's worth noting that ET is the only PB enabled game that has this issue.

    Actually, he was trying to put my server on his account. Which we fixed the issue, and now we're waiting for my account to be approved so I can put the server on it. This way I (Leader of the Server) can monitor it.

    Not a good idea to stream other peoples servers via an existing team account, in fact its something we will discourage at every opportunity, and once flagged up will normally end up with the team account master user being given a warning re such practises.

     

    Looks like Buff beat me to the delete server button.
