He uses ntl, cable, 2 meg.
His brother uses ntl, also, but does not have the issue. (1/4 mile away)
His brother-in-law uses AOL.
Another uses bt from farther up north, with no issues.
So far, he is the only one....

Ask him to do a tracert to the server. (right after his next kick) that should show if theres a prob with routing to the server.
For xp users - start/all programs/accessories/command prompt - type tracert server IP (no port)
Do the probs kick in at a specific time. (I am thinking - a capped line, oversubscription, peak periods etc etc)
NTL=cable - that means that although they only live a short distance from each other, they use the cable junction box at the end of their respective streets :) - were the actual cable goes from the junction box is anyones guess :P
AOL I would not give free to my worst enemy :D
It might also be worthwhile giving his pc a complete sweep for malaware/virus infection.
It's also best practise to run pbsetup.exe before every gaming session

Dont forget Bro - after you add the server via your team account the final addition is always done by an admin in case there are any probs.
This is a perfect example, because your server is added to your team account but not configured correctly for hub streaming.
Please recheck your settings, :)

ignoring md5 queries is a network/routing/packet loss issue ... does he have the same ISP as his brother etc.

Try typing - losing key packets - into google and take your pick from the thousands of results. :)

I know its a 'cliche' but I know I don't hack, so I personally am sure they hit a false positive somewhere.
Of course, I wouldn't expect anyone else that hasn't been hit with a false positive to believe it until EB says so as well. I know I wouldn't have...
How common have false positives been?
edit: Luckily for me it did not happen on a streaming server. I am just avoiding streaming servers for now.

Theres been a few here and there, but not enough to say its a commonplace occurence :)
The good news is that when a "false positive" is proven EB staff get the message out in prety quick time.
I'm afraid that all we can do now is sit and wait for the verdict to roll in.
On a sidenote, I was asked why another anti cheat site does not ban for #1300 violations, I can only speak for PBBans when I say that one of the main criteria of streaming in the first place is to keep cheaters out of our streaming servers, and unless stated otherwise by EvenBalance anyone who raises a #1300 violation will be treated the same as anyone who raises any bannable violation.
I hope that clears everything up :)

Your forum upgrade kicked in 1 minute after I posted :)Hahaha thx for the fast reply ill wait for it.
Dont forget a log out and log back in is always required for the forum upgrade to take effect.

Cant go into the Streaming & Banlist & Cvars / MD5's link.
Server is streaming @ the moment.
Patience padawan :) our system is fast but sometimes you have to wait a few before the upgrade kicks in :P

why not manually add the pbucon settings, as long as a blank file (pbucon.use) is in your root pb directory it should work no prob.

I dont quite know were you get the port 21 from m8 :) this is the standard port when using ssh on a linux server.
Does your server respond to standard pb commands ?
e.g. pb_sv_ver / pb_sv_homepath

You will see on the MDL for cod:uo;

This is recommended by our MCI manager to avert any lag issues that may incur with any setting less than 30
After you have made any changes to PB settings please issue a pb_sv_restart via rcon and your good to go.

Hey Benway look at the last pb ban, i m not sure they care about the problem cos' a lot of pb 130440 are on the Master Ban Index (MBI) :(
There are 2 possible scenario's here m8 :)
1. EvenBalance have been running "silent detections" and when the silent detections tail off a mass violation is issued for all those detected.
2. It's a false positive.
Either way it's only EvenBalance that can provide an answer, if EB staff tell us that a false positive has been raised on #130440 all bans resulting from that violation will be removed from our system.

I did not post anything about asking EvenBalance to lift the ban - what I posted was to ask 1 question - "Is this a valid violation?"Thanks for the answer.. however evenbalance said they cannot lift the ban it's the authority of punksbusted do you know where the trouble ticket on that site is? I suppose I'll wait out the year ban from leagues of Call of Duty 2 even though the ban really has nothing to do with it =/
Even though those violations I listed are all attributable to PunkBuster™ software, the actual ban is made by the server admin/anti cheat site.
PB only issues a 2 minute kick for any of the above violations.
The only bans issued by EvenBalance are global guid/hardware bans.
So in theory a player can get kicked from a server for an AIMBOT violation, remove the cheat, and 2 mins later rejoin that server and play on.
Thats were proactive admins come in :) , and when they group together at sites like PBBans its not just 1 server that adds the ban to the server pbbans.dat, but the ban is added to every servers pbbans.dat thus narrowing the playing field of any cheater.
(the PBBans Master Ban Index is also available for public download)

Ignoring MD5 queries was not the original posted message.
This is normally associated with network issues/bad connection which creates packet loss.
The client is kicked for not responding in time.
Whats your pb_sv_md5toolfreq set to ?
