There could be any number of reasons for this situation but as a server admin over many years I can be certain that a statement of will get you gone every time. Admins have the right to choose and that is fact; you could have been removed simply because of a slot being needed for a "Paying, yes thats right, a PAYING user..." Anytime a group has a server with contributing members they will take precedent. As Magnet said; there are tons of others or you could take the time to go to their forums to find out the reason in a respectful manner.

I always wondered if there was anyone else out there that felt the way I do about present day online play. Starting in the very beginning of AA we fought the occasional bug, random hackers, and Pragmatic with their $5.00 a slot price tag. We had fun back then but even though there was a ranking system it took forever to reach 100 honor. How things have changed. I get frustrated and pissed off every time I jump online anymore so I simply don't spend the time online anymore. No more of my money; I will play the games I own and hope there is someday a return to the classics and ethics of the past. Right now there is not a game I see that is worth more than the discount bin at Wal Mart. I still hope someone actually starts to pay attention to the PC community but will not hold my expectations too high anymore. BFBC2 was the final straw for me as well. Ranks... wtf?

Never bought that POS and certainly won't be downloading their "content"... Greedy pieces of garbage, plain and simple. To all the alleged "boycotters" that bought the game; lame, just so lame. I guess this is payback.

Maybe but I will take it over the 150' lunge kill offered in the CoD series..... ;)

Nice to see all the hard work starting to pay off and it goes to show what can be accomplished when the community stands together. Thank you PBBANS staff for all you have done to this point, especially with BFBC2!

Well, guess I have to move into the fray as it were... I will go ahead and preorder on the Amex card; just in case they decide to reverse things. Hope it will send a message to EA and that other company out there that didn't listen to the community. This is why I love to be a part of this community. Hope I can continue to be that even though our so called group never lived up to previous expectations when MW2 came out. You know those that signed a petition and then did a complete reversal... :blink: Thank you PBBANS and EA. Hope this becomes a long term relationship. I already own every BF game and paid for every expansion there has been. This is a make or break for me personally. If the ball is dropped then this will be a final visit for us.

Well, maybe not the time to get hopes up but at least they have opened the door to communication it would seem. All we can do is hope for some semblance of rational thinking on their part.

Great.... Another MW2 / PS2 port.... :) And Dude... If your promoting MyIS, they suck. The BF2 server was horrible we had and the support was even worse. I would be more than happy to post the support tickets and their responses but that is another thread....

Does in fact look good so hopefully they don't follow in the footsteps of another company... I also hope to see a demo or something to see what its like before release.

While I thank you for that; It isn't needed. :) As a quite older guy I often don't consider the other viewpoint or sugar coat anything. I saved my money this time to wait and see. I am glad I kept it. Our group has pretty much dried up since we were hoping that we could go into the future with a well designed game. It didn't come. I seriously hope that the next EA incarnation turns out to be top notch because I am very tired of the current games. I play a fair amount of Insurgency because for me I feel its the most tactical out there next to ARMA since AA3 disappointed me as well. Whatever the outcome Duality, I respect your opinion and PBBANS community as well. We as streaming admins can come vent our frustration and move on. For now I guess its back to the old games and hopes for a good quality one in the future. All the best. ;)

I take that with a grain of salt... People may not have a "leg to stand on" but this is a bit extreme. Honestly; what criteria are they using? I buy a game go to hit a standard key combination say forward left. I hit some other key accidentally and fit whatever criteria they use to ban people out of existence? Wham; Gone. This is one reason I have no interest in this or any "online" console network. I have never glitched in any game that I am aware of, will not, and call out people that do. This is some heavy handed BS and it is entirely uncalled for unless they create the code solid and someone actually creates a hack, work around, etc. If the code fails then this should not be happening. More inept issues involving this series. At least I kept my money this time. Sad but true that every single person, for whatever reason that purchased this game, has added fuel to the fire. Imagine; Me, a PC player, coming to the defense of consoles. Now thats funny.... Its only going to get worse and granted this is only X-Box so far but this is the future.

I hope every one is ready for the NEW way games are played. I don't mind paying for a game. I don't mind having to tweak servers, admin them, and basically babysit. I can now even buy a headset for $20.00 because hearing, tactical playing, and most generally skill are no longer required. I am oldschool Americas Army where once you completed all training it took many months if not years to rank to a 100 honor. Now in todays games it takes 5 hours. Sad but I can no longer justify spending large amounts of money on a system only to meet 12 year old console players that lack true skill and honor. Those days are gone and I feel it is time to move on and waste less time on our forums and servers. Maybe time for Juliet Childs Cooking 101. Sure seems things have changed; So sad but reality.

Having played in many a 64 slot server in BF2. I can't imagine a 150 slot server as I believe that would be chaos but might be interesting. I have never felt screwed in BF2 as long as you play in a well admined server. I think 32 slots is fine as long as the maps reflect such a change; I have no doubt that MW2 will drop of to the never never land in short order. Such a disappointment though.

Wrap those lips on the ol' salami... Just like in our gaming group though it means nothing. Our "members" (read that as no longer members) that purchased the MW2 after stating they signed the petition and believed in the game and purchased it anyway. Gaming today will not change and based on what I see will not improve. RW the game will implode in time but not sure how many will fall victim in the process but I guess that is how it is.

And even if it did or didn't, those that committed still did not live up to their statements. Boycott or not; many of our members that stated they would not purchase the game went ahead and did so. I will be moving out of the hosting position due to health reasons but I still stand by my decisions and convictions. A movement was started and it was a good attempt. I am well past the 40 plus era and have little time for what I see as childish behavior and mentality. Whether here or in our community; We will agree to disagree. I will not under any circumstance purchase this game; For those that do it is your prerogative to do so and I will not speak further..

Well, karma I suppose. I hope this ends in an epic fail for those that purchased the game and those that signed a petition and yet purchased the game. My opinion means nothing and so as not to insult those that did go ahead and get the game I will offer no further comments.

Yet people will continue to buy it. No rants this time; no comments; No nothing. :angry: All done with CoD and at this point I really could care less. Dropping our remaining servers as well for this game. Had enough abuse I guess.
