Sometimes I miss the Nokia 3310 days - it'll be interesting to see what comes of the "surprise" press briefing this evening.

While I'd love to upgrade my iPhone 3G to an iPhone 4 the word 'fail' comes to mind. So what do we have (the two main issues)? * an antenna issue which limits how you can hold your phone (but supposedly is the result of low signal miscommunicated by software. oh, and, which is proving to be a lie (iPhone 4.0.1 isn't the solution - today); * an advanced hardened screen which breaks easier than it's predecessors! Is the iPhone 4 Apple's Vista? The share price has been dipping down ever since release and it's all blown up since an influential consumer report said it wouldn't recommend the iPhone 4 (earlier this week). And the latest from Apple (today): Apple plans surprise briefing on iPhone 4 antenna issue. Do you have an iPhone 4? Does it work? Does it suffer from the famous death grip? Do you think a recall will happen? Is it all just blown out of proportion?

If anyone is still running 3.0.0-beta23 then they should immediately update to 3.0.0-beta25 (as above changelog). beta23 has several vulnerabilities, one of which allows anyone to connect to your server, give themselves server admin/admin query privileges (very bad!).

Even if there was a universal client side fix - unless it was distributed by DICE and hard coded - most wouldn't bother with it.

Last week when I looked you had two options. Either purchase X hours, or purchase monthly access to the game - guess it depends on how much you play it?

Wouldn't be the first game though - who knows maybe they'll sort it out.

Think the lower graphics bug me a little and I did notice that whenever I was shooting it felt a bit limited. Ultimately though not every game is going to be like COD4 and we seem to be seeing a DLC/Subscription trend.

Patch -> Works -> Leave Patch -> Machine Breaks -> Fix -> Leave All our machines should have base standardized environments within the next few months so I'm not too worry about patches breaking things (if it happens). I think I've only had one patch break something once in 4 years, easy to fix, kept me busy for a few hours on a 500~ network.

It's currently a 40 size (been trending the recession) used to have over a hundred - looking to expand up again. European business with a worldwide market though so it's got fairly big scope. LOL, MIA DC. Oh there's plenty of stacking going on inside one of our cabinets -- picture idea :P I've been having fun with our net, it appears to be achieving a 2.8MB throughput at the moment, per connection :/ something not right there. Ouch! pwned by a Vista user - that hurts. Don't be fooled, there may be blue, red and white cables but there isn't any colour coding :(
