    PB Hack 130330

    I had a guy in my server (not streaming yet sorry) that was kicked for violation. 130334 PB Hack.

    Now, I kinda know this guy through playing his team about 100 times in scrims and really didnt THINK that he was a cheat.

    When this happened he lost his connection to his team's teamspeak at the very same time as he was kicked from my server. I am wondering (trying my best to give him some benefit of the doubt) if he lost his connection during some sort of scan and that is why it gve this message. If he's a hack, no problem, just say so and the ip will be added to banned players on my server. But I dont want to ban him unless i am really certain he is a cheat.

    He isnt a very good player and never puts up much of a score, this leads me to believe that he wasnt also. One would think that if he was cheating that he would have a score that would reflect it....????

    we have no information off the evenbalance staff that this pbhack violation is a false positve .. if this player thinks the ban is unjust he can appeal it via the PB trouble ticket system here click me

     

    pbhack violations are normally raised for multiple cheat offenders or for anything that directly interferes with PB software i.e a pbss blocker

    I have two questions:

     

    I've founded this two in sv_cheat.log :

    What that means? Is it a hax? :o

    What should I do with that?..
    integrity kicks of any type are commonplace and should be ignored - all it means is that PB could not verify the integrity of a pb or game file - this could be caused by a multitude of reasons, too numerous to list here :) - atm your server is not streaming btw

    any staff member would be more than happy to look over your pbsv.cfg if you want it checked out by us :)

     

    things to check for pbucon:

    1. there is a file pbucon.use in your pb folder

     

    2. if you or your admins are not going to use the pbucon feature make sure this command PB_SV_USessionLimit 1 exists in your pbsv.cfg

     

    3. the command PB_SV_UConAdd 1 63.171.64.245 pbbans pbbans exists in your pbsv.cfg

     

    4. if your happy with all the above execute a pb_sv_restart

     

    5. to verify all is ok, execute via rcon pb_sv_uconlist

     

    the response should be:

    PunkBuster Client: [slot] [Type] [Mask] [Name]

    PunkBuster Client: 1 1 63.171.64.245 pbbans

    PunkBuster Client: End of PB UCON Profile List (1 Entry)

    need information on CVAR

    does a cvar violation mean that somone is using a hack or just possibly. I dont want people on my server who hackeven if questionable, but without really understanding what a cvar violation is I can't really make that call. Any help would be mucho appreciated!

    there are hacks that use specific cvars to toggle on and off certain features .. some hacks can be run outside the game directory so the cvar checks we run all pertain to actual hacks .. if you can find a reason why a player would pluck out of thin air a hack specific cvar and be detected with it in his mp cfg please feel free to post that reason here :)

    so sof2 server is streaming the normal way only and the FEAR server aint streaming at all .. at one point both were streaming via the hub .. please recheck your settings :)

    Not quite sure if i´m at the right Topic with my questions but couldn´t find anything about that in FAQs so:

     

    Is there a possibility to see all bans listed by Server IP so i can exactly see all bans from specifc Server??

     

    Our Banlist only contains Bans wich were made from admins themselve not from pb or pbbans....

     

    I wanted to list all caught cheaters in our Cheater Section in Forum therefore i have to get ban info from them....

    @alfdoh nah it gotta e a better way for that i work with this pc too so thats not good

    @fozzer i did that now i gotta wait wat u think how long they need i want to play :unsure:

    the key word after opening a trouble ticket is patience .. EB staff get a hell of a lot of mail and TT shoved their way :)
