Seen this post on Battlelog about the no fireteam switch option being a design decision.

 

Does danger close not understand that they're selling this game to the public no themselves. Why on earth does the design team have stupid decisions they arent the ones mainly playing the game its us Normal people, but as usual we dont mean anything EVEN IF WE PAY FOR THE DAM THING.

 

I predicted the fate of this game a long time ago just as I did for MoH2010. Ignore your paying customers and you are destined to fail.

The Medal of Honor series is now "out of rotation," EA announced during its third quarter financial call. Following Medal of Honor: Warfighter's poor commercial and critical reception in October, EA is taking Medal of Honor out of commission.

 

"The game was solid, but the focus on combat authenticity did not resonate with consumers," EA COO Peter Moore said. "Critics were polarized and gave the game scores which were, frankly, lower than it deserved. This one is behind us now. We are taking Medal of Honor out of the rotation and have a plan to bring year-over-year continuity to our shooter offerings."

 

EA Labels president Frank Gibeau said EA missed the mark, and the marketplace, with Medal of Honor: "We're in a hit-driven business where it's about what you can build in a certain period of time and really deliver for the marketplace, and frankly we missed on Medal of Honor. And we take responsibility for that."

 

Gibeau continued, "If you look at Medal of Honor as a specific case, it was really about a hit missing."

 

EA's remaining shooter repertoire includes the Battlefield and Bad Company franchises, Army of Two and, err, Syndicate.

The reason why it died was because the developers would not listen to the communities on what they wanted in the game. EA rather put what the company wanted and hoped people would buy it. That is bad business, in my opinion.

 

I hope EA collapses and/or gets bought out by a rational game company that actually listens to its customers (Valve).

Danger Close, the Los Angeles studio responsible for the last two Medal of Honor games, is officially closed, Electronic Arts confirmed at E3 this week. The studio was dissolved and some of its staff were transferred to other EA studios, including the new Star Wars: Battlefront developers DICE Los Angeles, EA Games label executive vice president Patrick Söderlund revealed to Eurogamer.

 

“Danger Close as it was doesn’t exist anymore,” Söderlund said. “There are people who left LA, people who work with DICE LA, and there are some who work in other parts of EA, as always when something gets dismantled.” Danger Close’s last game, Medal of Honor: Warfighter, was considered a critical and commercial failure, and just as analysts predicted, it wound up killing the franchise.

 

EA revealed the new Battlefront title during E3, following news in May that the publisher had partnered with Disney for future Star Wars games. DICE Los Angeles, the studio behind the new game, is made up of former employees of Danger Close as well as staff from other parts of EA, including some from Stockholm, according to Eurogamer.
