  1. Keycode in use can come from you attempting to connect to a server, and said-server "sees" you as online, even though you have not managed to get in-game yet. If you disconnect and reset the modem, sometimes your player will "ghost" for a few minutes on the server, and the pb servers see you as connected still. Once your player finally disconnects, you're able to play again. How-ever, to make sure your key has not been stolen, post the last 8 characters of your online guid in this thread. Simply connect to any pb-enabled server, and open the games console, and copy down the last 8 characters which should show in blue once you're connected to said-server.
  2. I don't think a sponsorship idea has hit the table, as yet. I personally think we should just be happy with the fact that EA/DICE devs were willing to come to the table and work with MaydaX directly to ensure that third party anti-cheat works properly. On top of that, some other suggestions were made by MaydaX to ensure that your abilities(and mine, potentially) to run such a server would be more fruitful and enabled, when it comes to the admin tools available. My hat is off to EA/DICE for listening, and for being so agreeable and easy-going about this. It becomes a win/win situation for both EA/DICE and PBBans, in the long run. That in itself, is a sort of sponsorship, really. A first for the PC-Gaming community. To butcher Niel Armstrong's words... One small step for gaming, one large step for the gaming community! Job well done for all involved! :)
  3. Have you checked to make sure that pnkbstrA and B are allowed to connect through the firewall? Secondly, if the router has it's own firewall, you'll need to check and make sure they're allowed there as well. Windows 7's firewall is on by default.
  4. Try right-clicking on the game icon, select properties, and then click on the compatibility tab. Set it to Windows XP SP1 or 2 and put a check in the box for "always run as administrator". Generally those two things will fix this issue on older games with Windows 7.
  5. What operating system? And are you on a wireless connection perhaps?
  6. First off, we're PBBans, not PB(which is actually software created by EvenBalance) Secondly, when you created your new site, you took your bad-eggs with you. They even used the same names with your new tags as they did in the "previous" clan, if you could even refer to it as that. We have it well documented, fyi. You were sent multiple pm's by one of our accounts staff here regarding which members needed to be removed. You've also replied that you don't believe a lvl 55 hack is a hack. Care to explain any of that? Lastly, shouting(CAPS) won't gain you streaming access here ever again. It might gain you a forum ban, though. If I were you, I'd sit down and look at the facts, as you've only got yourself to blame for your situation. When you've figured that out, and take care of business the right way, you might get a chance to stream here again, but thus far it's not looking good for you, is it? RW
  7. If we end up with a shoutbox there, it'll become a place where people try to find support for their bans, etc. Don't think that's the best idea.
  8. Seams once we have enabled the Hub we have to go back to the HUb console, after around 30 mins, to restart streaming again Need to add a keep-alive task to your pbsv.cfg file, or just use the supplied pbsv.cfg file from the MCi link on the homepage. All the pre-set configs include the keep-alive task in them already. The keep-alive simply "pings" the hub once in a while if your server spends any length of time without players on it. You might also be interested in the cvar/MD5 checks for the game as well. As for the ^7 and ^5, that's likely something MaydaX has to fix when he gets a minute.
  9. Don't forget, you also owe the EvenBalance staff a debt of gratitude for resolving this. All we did here, really, was send you on the path to getting their attention. It was up to them to remove the detection and clarify that the bans should be removed, pending finding what was causing it. That part, you and I will likely never get an answer too, but I am thankful that they took the time, and also did a job well done. RW
  10. Clear your cookies/cache files, and then try again. Seems to be a bug for some users.
  11. Click Me Several threads already exist for this particular issue.
  12. The lawyers are all about the money. You want to get their attention? Don't buy the game.
  13. You need to appeal your ban here . You will also need to link to your evenbalance Trouble Ticket in your appeal to us for monitoring purposes. This is an evenbalance detection, so they have the final say if the bans are lifted or not. Make sure that you list your computer hardware(properly, not just intel with 2GB ram, that says nothing). Driver revisions installed, software running at the time(x-fire, Teamspeak, anti-virus, etc) Which operating system do you run? List as much useful information as you can think of. Be patient and watch your ticket for a response, but do not keep posting in it, as it moves it to the bottom of the list every time that you do. Thread closed, since it's topic is not the same as the recent posters.
  14. I'm with Core on this one. Added note, with rcon tools, the messages only work while the rcon tool is being run by someone. With configs, the messages work until you physically stop the server, and they start back up again once you reboot it. ;)
  15. Just simply re-apply with the links on the homepage, completely brand new application is fine. Your forum account is obviously still active, so that part won't need to be done again. :)
  16. I have a feeling Grunt looks a bit like this guy. :P
  17. They've still got keys, no word on how many left, so grab while you can. ;)
  18. All you can do is either reformat and install a brand new game with a brand new key-code, really. Root-kit scan/new key at the very least. Stolen keys come from installing a key-logger or back-door trojan of some kind and your pc-security is your own issue. Once a key is in the wild, it will be used to cheat over and over again, and simply will not be removed from a ban-list. A global ban is only issued by EvenBalance, the creators of the punkbuster software at www.evenbalance.com . We only issue bans based on our detections and the cheats we have in our database. You can file a Trouble Ticket with EvenBalance directly, and include the link in your appeal to us(required) so that we may monitor it. If they say the detection was false, the ban will also be removed on our end. We automatically ban any EB-based global ban in our list. Please make sure to include as much information as possible in your trouble ticket. Everything from computer hardware and driver revisions installed. Any background programs you had running at the time such as anti-virus, firwall, anti-malware programs, Steam(gaming distribution software). Any chat programs such as x-fire, msn, etc. Any over-clocking programs for hardware. Literally anything you can add for additional information that may give them a clue as to what may have caused a potential false-positive detection. Last note, be clear, concise, and be POLITE to them. I see a lot of tickets, and it's amazing how so few include any useful details, and the other end of them is just rude, demanding to be un-banned, without including any information. This note is just to help you gain the best possible help from them, and hopefully a solution to your issue. RW
  19. Sadly, that is Robert's piss-poor existence. That will be the job I sign up for next, though, as they pay you to do nothing, you get paid well for it, and get paid to fly all over the world to answer questions about nothing...... WAIT A MINUTE! I can't do that job, I actually have a work ethic!
  20. Pre-sets, see any competition clan who trains for it. Certain places people come through, as players, and anyone who's played this game competition or had a competition member in theirs will know where to toss them. Doubtful it's a hack.
  21. There's nothing you can do, now. This is simply a case of to little, to late. If you and your cronies had been honest to begin with, and fell into compliance to begin with, none of this would be an issue. Since you've taken the path of attempting to circumvent our protocols, you've worked yourself into a situation where you will simply not be allowed to stream to PBBans. As stated above, it's not open for discussion or debate. Thread closed, do not start another!
  22. K-Boom, not dissing you, but I hope all the rest of the EA/DICE BF-series fans actually put their money where their mouth is. It didn't happen with MW2, and a lot of COD-fans that said they wouldn't buy it, still did so, admitted to it later. If you're going to speak, speak with the wallet, not an internet voice, first, and then speak later with the internet voice, and speak with the wallet at the same time. If EA/DICE take a hit on sales, they'll listen. Same would have happened with IW/Activision if all of those cheese-dicks that posted in the poll/crap=BS thread had not bucked up for the game and they'd lost money to crap-dev on it and not wanting to give PC-gamers what they wanted, maybe, but at least it would have been known, and looked at. If BF-series fans buy this game, and don't care about anti-cheat, and GGC is still gonna stream this game regardless of it's ability to do more than stream PB-based bans into a ban-list.(Yes you can stream, no, it won't add to your anti-cheat abilities, the fine-print GGC did not include) Without the ability to trouble-shoot, and actually work the development ends of things, streaming is worthless to begin with. Who cares if you can stream? Streaming without dev is nothing, useless, and not gonna add to a damned thing, anywhere, you'll just get streamed information about the things pb itself detects and waste actual server band-width for no reason at all. Can't define MD5 checks without dev, can't define what's a server file MD5 from a fictional one, for example. Most cheats get installed in the game directory, and if you can't check them vs server files, no such checks can legitimately be added. Streaming a game becomes a waste of bandwidth for any anti-cheat community unless they're just ban-happy and want numbers. I do like GGC, really, but I can't agree with their stance on this new game. I would say the same for any anti-cheat site that wants to run an integral anti-cheat stance on a new game, including PBBans, if we were to choose to stream it, without the ability to do so properly. What EA/Dice have done with BF-series games is effectively make themselves naked to cheaters, and cut themselves off from any help they could have gotten from others who were willing to help, and sadly, all for the sake of their stupid ranking system. I hope they enjoy the new game, once it's hacked, and turns into the paranoia-fest that the previous games have. You'll notice that players of games such as COD4 and any other engine don't have quite the same..... We have demo's, and the ability to work with a CONSOLE and other tools available to us because the ranking system, if there is one, is client-sided only, and not related to the game in any other way. Ranking was stupid to begin with. My take on it, perhaps I was a bit blunt, and sorry if I offended anyone. Just my take on the issue. I did not mean to offend BF-series fans, at all. I am perhaps one to simply call what I see, and perhaps that's why I stuck with Q3-engine games. RW
  23. Another potentially good game that looks awesome that won't see one dime of my money. They keep taking one more thing away that I've always had and used. Here's hoping COD7 from Treyarch isn't a huge debauchery. RW
  24. To run as Admin, simply right click the game icon and select run as administrator. To add the functionality of this permanently, simply right-click and select properties. In the box that pops up you'll find the compatibility tab, select Windows XP SP2, and put a check in the box that says always run as administrator, click apply and ok and you should be good to go. Works the same way in Windows 7, for anyone wondering. RW
