  1. A simple google for MW2 will bring up any threads on properly stated forums. Hype will only go so far, and thus far, google is winning ;) Keep the momentum going, for the pc-battle. WE WANT DEDI-SERVERS AND PUNKBUSTER! RW
  2. I'm down with that, surfy :)
  3. Do a full application, for your gaming clan, again, with full information regarding our ToS or terms of service. Your clan/crew will be under full scrutiny, as an fyi, and you'd better have things in order. He has been an issue, and we might give the rest of them, including you, a 4th chance. Tread softly. RW
  4. Better idea. Game on CoD4 and WaW servers, the day of release, and send a message as to how well dedicated server files work. I won't shut down my servers, but I will populate them, rather than support a new game with none. RW
  5. Your cd-key was compromised. That is not our fault. What you download to your computer and what that allows is entirely on you. Albeit a key-logger, etc, not our problem. You were given the help you needed, what you choose to do with it is your problem. Sounds harsh, yes, but welcome to the world of zero-tolerance, and anti-cheat, when it comes to a privately run anti-cheat group. RW
  6. Read up, not just post. Proper info has been provided. Not our detection, so see the right ppl.
  7. Nothing you could expect less of, from someone who is a spokesperson, and a console-gamer only. He'll never understand our reasoning, nor be able to be a spokesperson for it. RW
  8. I am, and have my own thread publically available for search on my own forums, as well as posting in the many that I visit that relate to it. My biggest concern, though, is the legitimacy of threads. I stop posting in those that become console vs pc flame-wars, as they do us no good. I post in the ones that matter, and with fact, not flame, as flame won't get proper attention, including in this thread. Work the threads that are positive in nature, for our cause, only. RW
  9. Console connections are buggy at best, and only work well if the user is somewhat PC-savvy, and can configure a router properly. Likely the reason console connections are so buggy is because they are not PC-savvy, and as such, this is why they play on a console..... Need I say more? RW
  10. I'd rather put up with some minor dedi-server lag on a 40 slot, than put up with a huge pile of it on a listen server run off someone's P4 on a 1MB connection(upload being about 256-512MB in North America, on average). RW
  11. FYI, I've included a couple of server-messages into my COD4 server regarding boycotting MW2 for not having PB or dedi-server files. May not hurt for those on COD4 and WaW servers to do the same, to get the word out to those that do not frequent clan-sites, IW forums or forums like this one. RW
  12. CoD4 technically only supported 24 players, but GSP's and various clans have proven that more can be supported. For those that like the huge chaos servers, this will be a difinitive issue, for sure. I do like a 16-20 slot server myself, but that's a personal preference for my own reasons. I do completely get the idea of the 40+ servers. There was a day when I did like them myself. (Re-lives the ET-days when 64 slots and total chaos was my game) :) Guess some things do change with time and age. I don't think that the right to run such servers should be taken away from the willing server-admin/clan, if that's their choosing, though, and I hear you, Duality. They'd have been better off to offer both, and as such, test the IW:Net idea first, to see how it did, rather than dump it on us with no choice. RW
  13. Won't make a diff to me one way or the other, on the player-limit. I still want to game with my clan, and a match-making system with no dedi-server will guarantee that doesn't happen unless we do private matches, added to which the pings would be horrific, connected to a listen-server. Waste of my time, and money, as far as I'm concerned. My clan doesn't live within the same city, and many not within the same country. Guess IW only counted on clans that know everyone in them in real life, and not those of us who've grown from having some actual interaction with people from across the globe. RW
  14. Until sGpieman is removed from your clan regarding This Matter and your clan falls into compliance with our zero-tolerance requirements, you won't be able to stream, nor will these ip's be removed from the black-list. I had to do a bit of digging into the archives, and this issue is well documented, as well as the initial applicant for your clan been informed of the "why". Get your end sorted properly, and we'll give your application some consideration. RW
  15. Yup. Your clean GUID is allowed to play on streaming servers. Only your original GUID is banned here. If server admin choose to ban you locally on their servers, that is up to them, and you'll have to take it up with the individual clan(s) on their forums. RW
  16. We don't ban aliases, we ban GUID's caught with irrefuteable proof of cheating, such as your first GUID was caught with. RW
  17. Your original key was leaked. Even if you don't have it anymore, it's being used by other players in the world. Did you happen to go as far as reformatting before installing the new key? If not, the key-stealing program is probably still installed on your computer, even if you removed the cheat it came with. Meaning your new key will soon be in use by others as well. What is the exact kick-message you're getting when you connect? RW
  18. Aside from the slap in the face that IW delivered with all of this, I'd love to be able to smack the idiocy out of the consolers who keep replying with comments about "growing up". I think the PC crowd, by and large, are the grownups, really. We're the ones who shell out the bigger dollar to build gaming rigs, and upgrade for a new game, etc. Unlike the console fan-boys who's mommy bought them an xbox. The console-crowd will just never get it, until they perhaps get to see what they've been missing with regards to custom maps and mods in online gaming. Not only that, but they miss out on the gaming experience as a whole because of the matchmaking system. My clan spans from the UK to North America, not two blocks down the street from me. I intend to play with the same people I've been fragging with since 2002 across several games. As a result, MW2 is just not an option. I've posted similar on IW's forums as well as other forums. Maybe eventually IW will get it, but I doubt it. I can only imagine what the experience will be like for those people who live in a small town, one that isn't located close to a big city. Are they gonna be matched up with the other 7 people in town who bothered to buy the game? RW
  19. Only evenbalance knows for sure, and they don't share that information. We're not evenbalance, but rather a privately run anti-cheat site that utilizes the punkbuster software created by evenbalance, adding our own detections in addition to a live-banning system that server admin can choose to utilize. RW
  20. Reading this will cause me to do three things. First off, cancel my pre-ordered server. I have not pre-ordered the game because I have 24hr stores here that sell them, and am usually up at that hour, so I planned to just head on over and beat the rush. I won't be doing so, now. Secondly, Post my sig in the IW petition. Third? Head over to my own clan-site, tell everyone to cancel their pre-orders, and explain this, with the above links, and then look towards either continuing with COD4 for as long as it lasts(see it hitting a re-prise in popularity) and perhaps adding a game from another company altogether. What a huge disappointment for the COD-series fans, as if COD3 and W@W weren't enough!!!! Perhaps 402's nic should be put into perspective..... 420......go smoke another bag, don't think you've lost enough of your senses yet....f..kin moron! RW
  21. Bottom line to us, here is that he is not on our ban-list at PBBans. The one IP and a LAN party is something I can personally see happen, how-ever, how you choose to run your own clan, and your own leagues is none of my concern. That end will always be up to the administration at hand, it's not PBBans' position to ever say how those things go. How-ever, a simple search of just his GUID, unchecking linked aliases and IP addresses, which are the least two accurate search features, will lead you to one perfectly clean GUID, here. I'd bet a dollar said league used the linked features in their search. Their choice, as stated. RW
  22. You and you alone are responsible for what happens to your property. This is not so much different than someone borrowing your car and speeding past a photo-radar camera. The ticket gets sent to the owner of the car. It's then up to the owner to prove they were not driving it, or pay the ticket. Bottom line of it. We're a private run anti-cheat group. We are not evenbalance. Two completely seperate entities. You came here looking for help. We have provided help to the best of our abilities. Unfortunately, the outcome is what it is. Next time, make sure to install proper security protocols onto your computer, as well as good antivirus software, and make sure that if anyone else has access to your computer, that you're either standing over their shoulder, or provide them with their own account that does not have access to your games and personal files. That's completely on you. Also might want to put the game boxes out of site, like in a filing cabinet you can lock, so that someone can't write down the cd-key while you're not looking. RW
  23. One of his servers is streaming. It's the IP that I posted above that is not, and the one he's having issues with. RW
  24. Your personal GUID is clean. Linked to your buddy only by IP addresses. Fairly common given the nature of dynamic IP's in certain countries. When applying for a league, give them your own GUID, not just your player name. That way they'll get to the right information when doing a background check on you. RW
  25. Join a pb_enabled server, then open your game's console to full screen. Your own pbguid will be listed there in bright-blue. Copy the last 8 characters down and post them here. RW
