  1. There are many players out there, with regards to BF2 that have multiple GUID's. One reason for this, aside from wearing out the CD/DVD-set, is also for buying different release-versions of it. Losing something the size of a game-cd case during moving? Yup, I can see that happenning. This is why we suggest searching them by their current GUID, and as LoneHawk stated, due your due-dilligence accordingly. Ultimately, the decision of who joins your clan, or plays on your server are not up to us. You asked for information, and we've provided it. Your personal decisions with your servers and clan's best interests in-mind are completely up to you, as we do not control game servers or clan's inner-politics and workings. We work to keep cheaters off servers, and provide tools to assist in doing so. RW
  2. Read Big_Guy's post, and perhaps re-think things a bit. Depending on how you search the MPI will depend on what results you get. A suggestion, if I may make it. For my own clan, I request that an applicant supply the last 8 characters of his GUID in his application, and search the MPI based on the supplied GUID. If you base a search on his in-game name only, or on his IP(could be IP at that moment) you will come up with results that are somewhat mis-leading. IP's, especially on ISP's that use dynamic IP's can show a large number of GUID's for one player, just because that IP is getting handed out to someone new as often as every 15 minutes, and they don't even likely know of each other's existence, let alone play games on each other's computers or share game keys. In-game name searches can be even more random. Go ahead and search my in-game name for COD4 sometime. It's WT|RoadWarrior You'll find that by name I am linked to some player in Brazil, who decided to clone my name in the game. I prolly banned the little prick on my server at one time, so he cloned me and then went and cheated, and got caught. That's an example, and in the end, means nothing, to anyone wanting to game with me, or look at me as a potential applicant, if I were to leave my clan.(Nope, not planning on that, btw ;) )
  3. Hemp, we've never cared about the number of servers streaming here. In fact, we're right on top of constant audits of our SGA's and their clans, and are prompt to inform them if one of their own has been caught cheating in one of the games we support here. We're also quick to remove their streaming abilities, should they not comply with the rules and regulations we have here. Your mis-information in this matter is not helping anyone. Perhaps choose to not post, or if you do need to, choose to post something useful. Posts like that will see you on a fast-track to no-where. As far as Captain is concerned, you'll have to have your admin remove him from your clan, or your clan will lose their streaming privelages, if he's proven to be an in-game cheater. It's them you want to report this too, first and foremost, as their decision on that issue will provide the end-result of the issue, one way or the other. Harbouring a cheater by allowing him to re-join using another name will not come out positive, if/when found to be doing so, by any clan who streams here.
  4. Tim, what is the new server IP and port? Some light might be shed on the issue that way, as we can aim our attention at it directly. A suggestion, perhaps you've already employed it, too. Make sure PB is up to date on the server. Being as it's an older game, and my experience with older games such as ET, the server itself would not update without a bit of help. Head to evenbalance.com and grab the latest versions of the required server pb files, and then upload them to your server, and re-start pb, or reboot the server. Then run the automated setup tool linked to above, in this thread, and see what the results are. We are here to help, and do care, so let's work at it, with some server info, and things you've tried to use to get streaming back in action, so that we can narrow down potential fixes. RW
  5. You'll have to contact your host, if you can't retrieve the rcon password for your server.
  6. Look at the bright side of this. You actually get to shoot at "fitty-cent" ;) I'll be killing him over and over and over again. :P BTW, just so I'm clear on my stance. The C in RAP is silent. ;)
  7. What operating system is he using? This is often seen with Windows Vista users. Simple fix, right click the icon and choose "Run As Administrator".
  8. You're running GV-streaming. Not to sure how well they support multiple streaming, but I can guarantee you your problem lies with them. Ours works fine for multi-streaming, and since you load them first, according to your logs, you will need to post your config here, for trouble-shooting. We can't help if we can't see what's really going on within those configs. GV has caused problems in the past, and will in the future.
  9. Click the My Controls link, scroll down the left-side and click on Change Display Name. ;)
  10. Questions are fine, but start your own topics for your questions, and use the various appropriate and well-labelled forum sections denoted for each one. The reason behind this, as stated, is that a topic stays on topic, and your questions can be answered a lot easier, rather than thinking we're entering a thread about a given topic to find a question completely un-related to the topic's title. Also, if you ask a question, we can help you better and deal with your specific issues/questions/need for information a lot easier than we can if we see an old/un-related thread being opened up.
  11. I personally strip Windows down. Running Vista 64x Ultimate, and got it lookin like WIN2K because I want it to perform, rather than have the bloat and the flashy colors and all of that extra memory/cpu-eating glam. I did the same with XP in the past. Just a personal-taste issue, though. I don't even run a screen-saver, or use sleep-mode for any reason....lol. Yup, I know, boring right? :P
  12. Nope, not a programmer of any kind. I have trouble-shot over the years, but would not put myself down as a coder of any kind at all. One thing I can say, is that I work with ppl, and head towards solutions, rather than problems as a result of problems given. ;) Technical support and leagues co-ordinator, here, I work with all kinds of ppl, yourself included. :) Patience is the key, though. One of my old adagies, if you will.... Mistakes will be made, people will be blamed..... If we work together, solutions are much easier to find. If we work against each other, solutions will never be found. ;)
  13. You do have to remember that punkbuster, like all software, will run into issues. It's because of patience, and people such as yourself openning trouble-tickets, that these problems can and will be resolved. Perhaps if you had a better understanding of how the software works you'd not be so quick to criticize it, but instead, work with it, and be a part of the solution. If I had a nickle for everytime I've heard someone say something like your above quote I could retire a rich man, believe me.
  14. If you all have TT's opened, you should all update them with your windows blind findings, and as such, evenbalance will likely pay that some attention as it's a fairly popular program. I can't see them not looking into it, btw, but the more players that legitimately report it, the faster there will be an update to take care of the issue so that players who use WB will be able to continue using the program without the above issues.
  15. BF-series games as far as I know do not actually provide feedback. Someone correct me if I am wrong on that, how-ever. I don't run BF-series servers. I do know that due to EA's licensing agreements, most hosts will not allow you ftp access to the server files, and some hosts, as a result, have also locked down the pb folder. You might need to ask your host to apply read/write permissions to that folder so that the needed configs and the pbucon.use files can be written into it from the webtool or by running the rcon commands from BF2CC. If memory serves me correct, you can also request access/limited access to the pb folder via ftp from some hosts(not all will do this) so that you can access screen shots and/or update the pb files themselves, as they are not under EA's licensing agreements. That may help with your situation, as a direction to take your support ticket with your host.
  16. I can google my initials, full name, first name, middle initial and last name, and any combination there-of, and not one google link comes back to me. Google one of my various internut names, though, and lots of hits come back. ;) I think I'm fairly safe, in that regard. :P
  17. I don't myspace, twitter, or any of that crap, personally. I don't think ppl need to see that much of my personal life, tbh.
  18. lol...you left a number out, there, and don't call the 911 number. :P Not that far away from ya, had a Rogers phone for a while, still got the phone, gave up the contract, tired of cell's, only ppl that ever bugged me on it were from work....
  19. I use a regular phone, got tired of being attatched to a cell all the time. ;) Best thing I ever got rid of, btw.
  20. Who cares, as long as you don't start asking for phone numbers or have ppl publically post them?
  21. What the tool actually does is show you how to get listed on the list. What it can't do is guarantee a position on the list. At the given moment, your actual position on the master server list will be based on users on server, name, and various other issues. Added to which, the server list I can pull up will be much different from yours, the person sitting next to you, across the street from you, or in the next city, state, province, etc. There's a "luck-factor" involved. Best advice I can give you is this. Make sure the server-audit tool shows everything green, and then have two or more clan-members idle the server on a regular basis if you want it to show up regularly. A lot of players filter out empty servers, as well as servers with certain modes/settings, so yours will not always show on everyone's list, add the fact there are over 15000+ servers out there, give or take a few 1000 numbers on that, and the ones that show first are the ones closest to the person, with the lowest ping, most often.
  22. From the looks of the pics on the homepage....I'd be a dirty old man on that site..... I'll leave that one to you youngsters. ;)
  23. Server Audit Tool makes figuring out why your server does not appear fairly easy, and offers suggestions to help you along. Most of the time, I've found mine simply just need to be shut down for a period of 20 minutes or so, and then have several of your clan-members immediately populate it for a while, even if they are not going to play. Once that is done, they tend to show up properly. This is especially true of servers that recently patched up to the 1.7 patch from a previous version of the game. The port-change 'Die suggested helps as well.
  24. You need to have a Streaming Game Admin from your clan upload these, or be added to your teams SGA account.
  25. You'll definitely need to contact your host. My experience with gameservers when I asked for the ManuAdmin mod to be installed was that they simply do not support this mod. If you run a dedi-box, you can install it yourself. If you just rent one or two IP's then not to likely without direct help from the support-desk at your host.
