Our server is not streaming
RoadWarrior replied to book's topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
Glad to see you guys up and ready to roll. Please take the time to check the MCi link on the homepage for the scan configs, and upload them to your server, for your particular game. A simple restart of the server or of pb itself from rcon with /pb_sv_restart command will see them in action, and keep you better protected. Enjoy! RW -
Our server is not streaming
RoadWarrior replied to book's topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
It's been added to your account, but is not streaming. Give the automated webtool a try on the homepage, and see if it gets your streaming configs set up and active for you. WebTool. -
Where are the servers located?

What tiny bit of respect I had left, after reading that, has made me more than angry at Infinity Ward. Demoting forum moderators without warning, explanation, or any response. Unbelievable! Definitely another sign they've given up on the PC community, and headed towards strictly console-oriented gaming, and do not give a rat's ass about any of us.

Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year to all of you! God Bless!

No personal greeting/new ban announcements
RoadWarrior replied to mustard`'s topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
Ahh, right, my mis-reading your previous post as well.... Anywho, looking through that, I'd take a guess the pb_sleep setting of 100 is causing the issue to some degree, as that particular setting makes pb not react to players entering the server for 100 seconds. In about that time-frame, if they stay on the server, you might see the join greeting for them. RW -

Check first and make sure it's allowed, but if possible, post their config here too. -
That does look like fun. Don't know if I'll run a server for it or not, as yet, but definitely plan to get the game.

No personal greeting/new ban announcements
RoadWarrior replied to mustard`'s topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
Is that the complete config? What I'm personally looking for is perhaps a duplicate entry within, and perhaps within all of your streaming-related configs that might be causing the issue. That particular section appears to be set correctly, other than uconadd should be 1 for the aonlive livebeta in order for it to work, I believe. -

Could we also see the streaming config that contains the ucon profile? Should be your pbsv.cfg file as opposed to the pbsvuser.cfg file which should contain your cvar/MD5 checks as posted above. RW -
While I don't like hackers, I hope the events in that video do find their way to the wild, and ruin MW2 to the horrible death it deserves. Maybe next time, IW will actually listen to the out-cries from it's CUSTOMERS!

Lost our acount holder
RoadWarrior replied to {ATF}IDS_Priest's topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
What account number, and perhaps who you would like to assume charge of it, are possible options. Accounts will have to deal with it, so please be patient. RW -
how do i remove my name fron pbhub?
RoadWarrior replied to Ghost Rider's topic in General Discussions
You should really start your own thread on such issues, so that we don't miss out on dealing with it. RW -
Can i stream to pbbans but have my server locked?
RoadWarrior replied to DaSusPect's topic in General Discussions
You can stream private servers, providing they are hosted at a recognizable data center, and not run off a third computer in your house. Providing you meet all the requirements in the ToS, there should be no issue. Welcome to the PBBans forums. :) RW -
[TLS] Cod 4 not streaming
RoadWarrior replied to alicavi's topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
Have you tried rebooting the server, or at the very least, restarting punkbuster? I know those seem like obvious questions, but it's amazing how many times that fixes the issue. I did note, from the streamed logs, you've got guidrelax set to 7, which allows anyone to connect to your server, including players with cracked keys/pirated versions of the game. COD4 has a glitch in it, where it forces this setting to 7 after a map or two have run through. You need a task to force it to 0, which is the recommended setting. pb_sv_task 0 300 pb_sv_guidrelax 0 // Reset GUID relax Another question popped into mind. Does this server sit empty for any length of time? If so, also add a keep-alive task to have it ping the hub even when empty. pb_sv_task 0 7200 pb_sv_ver // Keep-Alive for PBBans Hub Both these tasks are included by default in the pbsv.cfg file found in the MCi, should you choose to use it. Disallowed Program/Driver:125141
RoadWarrior replied to ncarbon's topic in Call of Duty World at War
The precision tool is known to cause the disallowed driver kick, actually. The one beauty of it, though, is if you change the fan-speed settings, or clock-speeds, for example, you can then turn the program off, and the settings will stick. You just have to re-open it to change things back after your gaming session. Give that a try. RW -
Have you changed the maxpackets setting in the game's console? Open game, click ~ button, type in /com_maxpackets 100 and hit enter. Default setting for the game is 30(old dial-up relic). You can also add in console /cl_packetdup 1 or 2, try both. 1 is default. 2 just sends the packets to the server you're trying to connect too, a second time. When updating pb, perhaps try this. Re-name your pb folder to pb_old. The create a brand new folder, drag/drop the pbsetup.exe file into it, and run it, and create from scratch, brand new pb-files for your game. The odd time, something has gone corrupt in the old folder and a normal update doesn't work, for what-ever reason. This has worked for me in the past. Hope that information is useful to you and fixes your problem. Keep us posted. RW

Another mental-midget bites the dust, here.

I have a feeling that once the Christmas season is over, this game will fall by the way like the tickle-me-elmo doll did. Big hype, lots of ppl clamoring to get it, and in the end, only to find out it's not all it's cracked up to be.

I didn't have any problems on Vista 64x Ultimate. Being the type of guy that I am, though, I'm gonna flog Win 7 for what it's worth, and see where the improvements come in.
-
Interesting observations. Windows 7 64x Ultimate, I went to the beta drivers because I was getting BSOD's and driver-stopped errors.(Will literally freeze the game for 2-10 seconds before it recovers), and an annoyance at best, most of the time. Usually just get the freeze, black-screen, driver-recovery. Temps for my 285GTX SLi setup are not to off-the-mark at all. Pushing in-game, maybe 80-90C and that's not really an off-the-wall temp for a gfx-card while in-game. My single 9800GTX SC+ ran a lot hotter. I did find gaming a lot more stable in the RC version of the OS, but maybe it was just the drivers themselves. I'll be re-verting to the older ones tomorrow as a test. Would be good research, to be sure. RW

All this time I thought that was just the squeal of the modem trying to connect, sitting beside me.....man, don't miss those days.
-
Just wait till the game is a year old, and the bulk of the players have moved onto something else. If you think it's tough to get into a game now.... it will be nearly impossible after everyone gets tired of the waiting around to connect. I'd have to wager this game has a 6 month or less shelf-life, as an optimist.
