Even Balance does not support beta operating systems.
Judging by past experience, when windows8 is released as a retail product a fix will immediately precede, or soon follow, the release date.
In the meantime it would be best practice to create a troubeleticket with EB and list exactly what errors you are receiving.

While is may be using a damage modified, PBBans can't do anything until a violation is raised via PunkBuster.
The suspected cheater may be using the damage modifier that comes with the BF3 tweaker crap ... as you are aware PBBans kicks for using the tweaker via an issued MD5 scan, so we can do something about it until EB issue a violation number for it.
The same goes for cheats that are still in the silent logging phase or not been issued violation numbers yet.
PBBans can and does issue bans based on MD5 tool scan evidence.
That's why it is so important to keep on top of the issued MD5 scans for your particular game genre.

The people who instigate these attacks seem to think that that PBBans is somehow connected to Even Balance, that gives you an idea of how "clever" (insert sarcasm) they are.
All that a ddos attack specifically targeting PBBans does, is to cut off an information source that is available to everyone (cheater and non cheater alike)
No assistance can be given to anyone seeking to appeal a cheat related false positive.
No one gets to know if their ban is global or not, etc etc.
Meanwhile, Even Balance and their PunkBuster™ software keeps trundling on ..... detecting ..... issuing globalguid bans etc etc.
A ddos on PBBans has absolutely no effect what so ever on EB or their PB software.

Lemme get this straight: realmware color tweaker. I will absolutely positively be safe with this?
As stated previously in the thread, we can only comment on the PBBans stance re these various programes.
We can not comment on what the EA/DICE, Even Balance stance is, or what their future intentions are re the various tweak programes out there.

I am not adjusting the intensity of the sun , All I am using it for is to take out the blue tint where is the damage in that oh sorry I must be cheating don't think so man .
Do you really think I would risk getting ban for all most £100 pound game with DLC's no . Just using the tweak tool to take out blue that's it and it giving a true red crosshair not pink like dice give us . All so let say they make another tweak tool with out the sun sliders would that make you happy .The game as it is out the box it dull and life less this tweak is the best thing this game could ever have ,And if people started getting ban for using that would be the craziest thing ever .I can understand them getting ban for editing and tweaking the files manually I agree with that ,But getting ban for using the tweak tool I would have to disagree with that . And I am no cheat and I hate people that do cheat but tweaking gfx to look better is not cheating my book .
The whole point of us issuing MD5 scans to kick the users of the BF3 tweaker is all explained in the very first post of this topic which I specifically asked you to read.
In case you missed it, here is why PBBans has issued MD5 scans to detect users of the BF3 tweaker;
We know some only use it to remove the blue tint but it's also used to cheat.and with EA/DICE and Even Balance in full receipt of what this tweaker is capable of, do not be surprised if some time in the future, users end up with a ban of some description.

Please can we maybe have a vote on this as ultimatly you cannot differentiate wether it is for the use of removing the blue tint or using a cheat.
I don't see a need for a vote on anything.
One of our core priorities is to provide streaming admins with the cleanest gaming environment as is humanly possible.
By providing a MD5 scan that kicks for players using the BF3 tweaker that also contains settings to cheat with, we are helping provide that clean gaming environment.
EA/DICE and Even Balance are aware of what is contained in the BF3 tweaker and either one, or both, may take more drastic action at some time in the future.
It's a chance that users of this tweaker, such as Tags, will have to take, if they persist in using it.

So is this safe to use just to get better looking graphics or not because the game graphics as they are now look kinder depressing and have no life to them ,

BuT we WILL be banned by EA/Dice if we used it ! :banghead:
We can not speak for Even Balance / PunkBuster™ software /EA/DICE, or anyone else for that matter.
What we can do is speak on behalf of the server admins that stream their BF3 servers via PBBans.
If you join a PBBans protected BF3 server that is running the PBBans issued MD5 scans and are using the BF3 tweaker, you will be kicked from the server.
You will be able to play when the tweaker has been completely removed from your BF3 game install.

Even Balance is a stand alone company with no affiliations to anyone else.
Even Balance created, and use, PunkBuster™ software to detect cheat use.
Even Balance provide tools to assist server admins in keeping their servers cheat free.
Third party anti cheat organizations have no affiliations what so ever with Even Balance, but utilize the tools issued by Even Balance to also assist server admins who want to go that extra mile to keep their servers free of cheaters.
Using PBBans as an example (I do have a little knowledge on the subject :P ) here is what third party anti cheat organizations are all about;

This did have a very large impact on many players last night. I made a huge misstake explaining why a player got kicked for the cas_50 check on the Battlelog and almost lost an eye in the process. Thank god I eventually found MaydayX post here on PBBans where the GGC streaming explaination was to be found - This might have saved my life.
I have personally given up on explaining anything on the BL forums.
The normal scenario is that you post an explanation.
One post later someone posts up the same issue, blaming EA / DICE / PB / EB .... the world and his dog :P and you are back to square one.
The misinformation posts and knowledge base of the average BL forum member re anti cheat issues never ceases to amaze me.

To be fair it was just a streaming admin that thanked another streaming admin for remaining civilized when posting about the MD5 issue.
No GGC staff member accused eat5 of being uncivilized :)
Anyways, as soon as someone from the GGC staff who has the right access levels wakes up, this will fast become yesterdays news :P

The MD5 issue is confined to servers that use GGC streaming.
Instead of checking for the files existence, and if it exists issue a server side kick.
GGC are checking for the files existence and if it does not exist, is issuing a server side kick.
It's a basic mistake, but like it says on the EB website;
WARNING: This is an advanced topic intended for experienced server admins who are comfortable with running PunkBuster-enabled game servers. Improper use of the MD5Tool Facility can result in inadvertently configuring PunkBuster to kick all players from the server.-

The server has not been configured correctly for PBBans streaming.
Try using this on it;

Remember to use the rcon/query port during the setup phase.
Streaming will kick in instantly once you get it right.
Are you saying you can not access this section of the forum to raise a ticket ?

All you need to know about UAC3 is available via a google search, which I am sure you have already done :)
Our expertise is third party streaming, and streaming via a top notch anti cheat site, using the provided MD5 scans and of course checking pbss on a regular basis, makes quite a difference in keeping servers as cheat free as is humanly possible.
PBBans has 297 pbss related bans on the PBBans ban list, so I would not say they were useless as such :P
Our regular forum members who have actually used the software may have some feedback for you re UAC3.

My standard copy/paste response for queries of this nature :P
All none streaming issues are client side.The first thing to do when a server just stops streaming is to run the Automated Hub Setup again;

If you are having to go through the setup procedure every time the server restarts, it's obvious that your server is on a "crontab" of sorts and the server is loading a default cfg that does not contain your streaming commands that you sent to it in the setup phase, or your streaming settings are being held in a cfg that is not loaded by default after a server restart.
If you can not figure it out yourself, raise a ticket with your RSP and tell them what your issue is .. hopefully they can then sort it out for you :)
The correct file system within your PB directory should be;
pbsv.cfg - contains all your PB server settings (including your pbucon settings)
pbsvuser.cfg - contains all the scans (MD5 etc) that a server admin wishes to run on his server.
pbucon.use - is a file that is only needed to run pbucon and is best left blank.
Forcing anything other than what's listed above is asking for trouble and judging by the amount of tickets and questions we see, certain RSP's are certainly getting it.
Points to note for all the RSP "experts" who think putting PB server settings in a pbucon.use file is a good idea.
pbsv.cfg is loaded by default after a server restart.
pbsvuser.cfg is loaded by default after a server restart.
pbucon.use is not loaded by default after a server restart .. PB only checks if this file is present or not, and then does nothing.

You added a server to your team account that contains the wrong port.
The server address also contains a typo in the firs octet of the IP address.
You entered 65. when the actual octet is 66.
I have added the correct server address to your team account and the server is streaming nicely.
I have left the server address you submitted so you can see were you went wrong.
Just delete the wrong server address once you have taken a peek :)
Useful info:
It is always the rcon/query port (default 47200) for setting up streaming.
It is always the actual game/join port (default 25200) for adding a server to your team account.
The port used when adding a server to a team account is the same one that appears on the battlelog browser.

The site was **no naming of cheat sites in general forum sections please** which I read on one of the players busted battlelog profile lol I was snooping round the AA site and ran across this post from one of the admins which kind of made me mad. I quote " 3. Do you had bans in the last 4 weeks ?
nope. And if a detection is ever made - our security usually discovers the breach within an hour or two (usually much less than that). The cheat is then disabled on the loader while the security breach/vulnerability is investigated and necessary changes made. It's rare for our cheat to be down and is usually fixed within a few hours (if not sooner).
Pity their security does not kick in until after 100's have been silently logged :P
The first they know about it is when their users start getting globalguid bans directly from Even Balance.
Let's face it ... they would not be selling much if they told the truth.

Just for information to anyone who thinks that PunkBuster™ software is somehow associated with PBBans ........... it's not.
PBBans is not affiliated in any shape or form with Even Balance (the creators of PB software)
We can make educated guesses on various issues based on past experience, but that's all they are ... educated guesses.
The only method of contact re PB issues is via the Even Balance troubleticket system.
