If the player concerned thinks there has been an error, please have him appeal the ban.
I have watched the demo provided in slowmo and can not see anything that would convince me that an error had been made.

I put in a Ban appeal for CTU_jr_Rojas about 2 weeks ago and was wondering how long it takes for an appeal to be considered?
I haven't received any correspondence regarding the appeal.

Why would we know anything about it, the appeal was not made via the PBBans appeal system.

Although you can advise a player on his appeal ... it is always best practice for the player who is in receipt of the ban to make the actual appeal.

On August 20 2012 you connected to a server streaming via PBBans with 2 different pbguids one of which was issued a ban back in June 2011.
The server address was 193.192.58.92:55555 (COD2)

Does anyone know if punkbuster actually detects such cheats?
A recent appeal;
I was not intending to use the hack (it supposedly made every hit a kill), i only installed it to confirm that it was actually a working hack because it didn't seem likely that anything could alter damage in a multiplayer game. I didn't want to waste Even Balance's time with a hack I was sure wasn't legit so I thought I made sure I joined my friends non punkbuster server but I must have accidently joined one that had it enabled. I know it was irresponsible for me to use a hack instead of reporting it but I was never going to take advantage of it.-

Not to mention well known hackers basically advertising hack sites on battle log and still being able to log in every day to troll on any PB associated threads.
and cheat site staff :P

I have read a detailed tutorial on "how to whine successfully" to EA support on a cheat site .... it includes lots of smiley faces and some unbelievable frreebies that EA customer services threw in by way of apology .... no wonder it feels like an uphill battle most of the time.

My frustration with TWL is not about this and it is not the business of anyone other than myself and the admins involved.

Without being able to run checks via streamed log data to guarantee the authenticity of submitted demo evidence, it is all too easy to manipulate/edit video evidence to frame innocent players.
That statement is based on past experience and not just invented to fob you off.
Placing a ban on a pbguid is a big deal for everyone involved.
The evidence supporting the ban must be irrefutable.
Unless EA/DICE provide an ingame demo recording facility incorporated within their games, all videos posted on our forums will be removed from view due to what is stated above.

There is no "unofficial response" sorry.
The only video evidence we will comment on is recorded evidence of games that have an ingame demo facility.
This is because we are able to run various checks via streamed logs to guarantee authenticity of the recorded evidence.
From what you have posted thus far there seems to be some friction between you and TWL admins .... that is something that PBBans is not going to get drawn into in any shape or form.

that I was globaly unbanned. Now It's changed.
The only information we include on all ban details is if a pbguid is globally banned (cached data) or not globally banned whatever the case may be.
pbguid 719b140ab5b81ea6210dc66f82bbd44e has never been globally banned.
In February 2009 an American player was detected using a cheat.
He offloaded the cd key/pbguid onto you and you then appealed the ban in September 2009.
The appeal was denied because Even Balance confirmed that pbguid 719b140ab5b81ea6210dc66f82bbd44e was used to cheat with.
Nothing has changed in the 3 year gap between the appeal being denied and you posting here.
You do still have choices.
Play on servers that do not use the PBBans ban list.
Play on servers that have PB disabled.
Buy a new game from a genuine retail outlet and move on.
A confirmed valid ban will never be lifted.

I am unbanned by Punkbuster but i still get kicked from servers but there is no record of my guid on them and messages that i've been disconnected from server and I may not rejoin server for 1200 minutes.
If it's not Punkbuster then what is it?
What makes you think that your pbguid ban was lifted ?

You bought/obtained a COD4 cd key that had previously been used to cheat with.
Solution:
Buy a another copy of COD4 from a genuine retail outlet and move on.

The Lite streaming option, amongst other things, gives server admins a perfect opportunity to take a look see before committing to full streaming.
We can give reticent admins a streaming option and at the same time keep the integrity of the MBI intact.
Members at GGC can say what they want, but it's not PBBans that has been hit repeatedly with mass fake bans since 2008 is it.
People in glass houses and all that .. and I have been around here a long time too btw :P

I can not believe I am having to explain things to someone who has been around as long as you have but here goes.
You have been streaming servers since April 2008 so you should be aware of just why the requirements for streaming were tightened up.
Since the requirements were introduced in 2008 we have not been hit with mass faked bans again.
The main thing we want to keep intact is banlist integrity .. having the requirements in place goes a long way to us achieving that.
The Lite streaming catches go on an unofficial banlist that our admins have the choice of enforcing or not.
So if ever a mass fake ban wave hits us through a Lite streaming server, the main MBI integrity is kept intact.
If you think your being "punished" feel free to switch to Lite streaming.

A Lite Streaming option has been available at PBBans since June 28 2012.
The points raised by various server admins, who, for one reason or another, found it impossible to meet the PBBans mandatory requirements for streaming, were chewed over by the staff and we think the Lite streaming option is a satisfactory compromise.

I think you may be confusing PBBans with Even Balance (the creators of PunkBuster™ software)
If you wish to offer advice or make a complaint to Even Balance, the only avenue is to create a troubleticket;

A simple google search of your forum name will give anyone who is interested the probable reason why you got a globalguid ban.

The only reason any company makes a change in their standard business practice, is to try and grab the lions share of the market thus maximizing profit margins.
All the better if this can be achieved with little or no effort from the company itself.

It doesn't matter what your actual pbguid is, if you are receiving a global ban message there is nothing that PBBans can do for you.
Any pbguid that is globally banned will be prevented from joining any PB enabled server of the same game genre,regardless if the server streams or not.
Global GUID bans are issued and maintained, exclusively by Even Balance.
Third party anti cheat sites such as PBBans have no input nor control what so ever re global GUID bans, so using the PBBans appeal system to appeal a globally banned GUID is useless for all parties involved.
We (PBBans) will deny the appeal made through our systems due to the above reasons. A troubleticket with Even Balance is the only thing that can help you. Make sure to add any information to it that you think will help your cause (don't forget your GUID). Also make sure that you have told Even Balance that your ban is a global GUID ban.
Quick info:
1. Global GUID bans are issued and maintained by Even Balance themselves.
2. Third party anti cheat sites have no input what so ever re global GUID bans.
3. Global GUID bans are normally issued by Even Balance after a period of "silent logging".
4. "silent logging" is when cheat use is detected and logged by PunkBuster software but no action is taken at the time.
5. When the "silent logging" phase is over, Even Balance issue a global GUID ban on every pbguid that was detected during the "silent logging" phase.
6. The only reason your pbguid appears on the PBBans ban list is because you joined a PBBans streaming server direcly after Even Balance activated the global GUID ban on your pbguid.
7. PBBans has actually done you a favour by letting you know that a global GUID ban has been issued on your pbguid by Even Balance, there will be a lot more players who have joined servers that do not stream and will be struggling to find out what happened.
If you feel that you have recieved a global GUID or Hardware ban in error, you may submit a support ticket to Even Balance

How about a new title? :)
This is not to brag but to monitor any reuturning former Streaming Admins that may wish to stream again one day. It could come in handy to simply look at their title than going through the background checks
Thoughts?
A lot can happen in the period between being a streaming admin ... downgrading to member .... and then returning to stream servers again.
The vetting procedures we have in place have stood us in good stead over the years.
It takes a staff member seconds to verify if a member has been a streaming admin in the past, and the vetting procedures will still kick in regardless of title :P

Very cool, I applied for the lite for now until things grow...One thing that I noticed is when I look at my servers pb shots many of them are black including my own...I hear that having anti aliasing on and many other things can cause this but it worries me that once im streaming will that result in a ban? how does that work as I just want the real hackers banned not people having technical issues ? Also I remember when i played bf3 we learned people were for a time using the window7 aero based hack that did an overlay on their screen and was not able to be caught by antihack software...is this type of hack available for cod4 because there have been some on my server that i seriously question as it seems every shot they make is extremely accurate to the point of suspicion. Thanks
No one will be issued a ban for returning black screenshots.
If you have suspicions of any player on your COD4 servers .......... make a demo of the player concerned and review it at your leisure.

Im not saying they are evn close to punkbuster. I understand they are not affiliated with even balance. A possible new recruit to my clan has a ggc ban. I was wondering what to do with this information? Are they legit and would you guys recognize this as a legitimate ban?
Your possible new recruit has a ban issued by GGC ... why are you asking questions on PBBans forums :huh:

The only "legitimate" bans that PBBans recognizes are bans that we have the accompanying streamed log data for ... not every server streams via PBBans, and by the same token, not every server streams via GGC.

=HOG= stream 5 BF3 servers via PBBans.
All 5 have the same flags enabled.
if your banned from only one server, that means that the ban is a locally applied ban, set by the server admin.
This can only be sorted out on the =HOG= forums with the appropriate server admin.
Your issue is nothing to do with anything PBBans related.

Does this mean those streaming who no longer meet the requirements (ie: Website, public forums, public admin lists) will be downgraded to a
Streaming Lite Admin until they meet the requirements again? As I'm always coming across clans/communities who meet the requirements for approval, then lock their site down afterwards
The requirements will always apply to any group that wishes to use the full range of what PBBans has to offer.
With over 12,000 team accounts it's impractical for us to register on each and every website that applies for full streaming.
Some groups have had their sites etc attacked and prefer to keep things locked down.
They have created a username and password for PBBans accounts staff use and we have no problem with any group that prefers to go down that route.
The username and password is added to the team account notes of groups that prefer to keep things locked down tight, so it is a one off deal.
The lite streaming option has been introduced primarily because, for every group that applies successfully for a team account, on average we have to turn away 6 other groups because they fail to meet the requirements.
At least with the lite streaming option, a server admin can protect his servers with the PBBans Hub while he works on whats needed for full PBBans streaming.
