SuperTaz
I never bought the other DLC's. I won't be getting this either. The game lags for me too much now. Back to COD4.

kraxus187
You know the game is bad when the first COD beats out COD:BO in ratings: Call of Duty: 91 Rating Call of Duty: United Offensive: 87 Rating Call of Duty 2: 86 Rating Call of Duty 4: 92 Rating Call of Duty World at War: 83 Rating Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2: 86 Rating Call of Duty Black Ops: 81 Rating Quality of games are not as good anymore. COD4 is still #1 according to the ratings. I played tCOD4 for the first time in a cpl of years not long ago...I usually play BC2 now. COD4s graphics,at least imo, are still better than BC2's and the game play is way smoother....well apart from spawn killiung etc...PB doesn;t freak out my CPU and theres no noticable lag at all regardless of teh server I connect to. Haven't played any of the others in the COD series but I can see why 4 rates highly.
SuperTaz
http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1907773 Hey guys, We have begun updating http://wiki.treyarch.com with details on the Mod Tools BETA, which will be releasing Tuesday, May 31st on Steam. I wanted to highlight here some of the things included in the package: Launcher. Asset Manager. EffectsEd. AssetViewer. Maya 2009 Exporter Plugins. Reference materials: Maya src files, scripts, example mods, xmodel exports, texture assets. The PC team is still investigating the potential release of Radiant. I'll be sure to update you when I know more. Regards, -JD
injuneer
If they don't release Radiant, Mod tools are all but useless.
Duality
If they don't release Radiant, Mod tools are all but useless. I reckon thats what they wanted all along. Release the mod tools but cripple them, so that they can claim they listened to the community - when they actually did not.
MaydaX
Honestly did anyone expect mapping tools when they are selling map packs? Also there is more bad news I have been making server mods for Call of Duty for over 7 years. This type of mod tries to add as many settings to the game as possible. With Demon mod for COD4, for example, there are over 270 new dvars. With Black Ops modding this wont be possible - we are limited to 32 dvars in total. http://wiki.treyarch.com/wiki/CoDBO_Building_A_Mod I know plenty of modders were hoping that once the mod tools were out, we could add some form of weapons and perks limiting - to turn off unwanted stuff. This now wont be possible to any great extent. All this is admittedly due to my limited understanding of how the system will work, but from the tests I have been conducting, I can't get any more than 32 dvars to be recognised. If I am not understanding it, or doing something wrong, then all well and good, but so far, I don't see that. http://www.fpsadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22821

McBain{TibeT}
I gave up on this ages ago. Haven't bought any of the DLC, and never will either. Out of curiosity, what's the fascination with zombies in COD? Personally, I load up Left 4 Dead/2 if I need to annihilate thousands of zombies :)
HSMagnet
idk we just find the wave format more exciting i guess. L4D/L4D2 just doesn't hold our interest

buttscratcher
beta? after 9 months? Having delt w/ Blops serverside, any complaint about modtools will be taken w/ a grain of salt. Anyone expecting modtools before Activision made all they can on Blops DLC was high. Now that the game is petering out, modders get thier tools. Unfortunatly, theres not a ton of ppl still playing to enjoy the mods. Irony, or a well thought out plan from the start? Next time we hear a PR guy spouting "PC community" on a no lube port, we should all know what to expect. butt
HSMagnet
oh i knew it would be late in 12 month game cycle before tools were released. no way they are going to release them before the milking is done. i guess the beta tag took me off guard. it shouldn't have. now it can remain a beta after the next release and be all "well it is a beta tool set"
