I've just been reading some of the comments on the Steam forums about this DLC, one such comment among many:

I can certainly afford it but absolutely NO I simply will not pay what is a ridiculous amount of money for additional maps. I have about as much fondness of DLC as I have with rampant diseases. DLC is overpriced and no additional content for any game short of a full on expansion should be priced above

lot of money for one zombie map.....

I've just been reading some of the comments on the Steam forums about this DLC, one such comment among many:

I don't own the game so I couldn't care less who buys it but in a way I should care because of this type of buying by some, lapping up all DLC no matter what problems the main game has affects us all. DLC is here to stay and I think mod tools are a thing of the past for some devs.

Why release mod tools when they can just throw together a few maps and charge an extra £10 and continue doing that?

i have the game

can't remember the last time i loaded it

i was looking forward to a new co-op zombie map. damn sure ain't paying $15 for one map

from what i saw, heard with mw2, the dlc map packs fragmented the player base. making it take eons for the stupid P2P system to find matches.

i realize there are "servers" in blops. but 24/7 nuketown doesn't require a dlc

*edit*

just for giggles i loaded BC2 for the first time in literally months. saw new maps i know i didn't pay for. ;)

trouble is...."play now" button sent me to empty server 4 times....

^They also changed the number of players to start a match to 4, which I am not thrilled about.

One other little bone Treyarch threw out to server renters was one free token per server, for access to the DLC. I wasn't going to buy it (and not running the new maps on our server) but did nab it to have a look at the new zombie map.

I do alot of deserved bitching @ DICE, but at least they know how to take care of the PC side - when it comes to map packs.

the 4 players to start is probably the best thing they could have done, beside doing away with xp altogether

I suppose its a good thing for small or disorganized groups that can't get their server going otherwise.

Should be 2 players or none imo. Just stupid having to wait for people to join.

Speaking of which, in Crysis 2 I joined an unranked 2 slot server to play with mouse settings and it wouldn't joined because it required 3 more players.

Was curious. Is there a way to find out how many people got the DLC? And of those numbers, subtract the free tokens given to server renters.

Not that its an accurate indicator, but about 15% of ppl on my Steam friends list got it.

You know the game is bad when the first COD beats out COD:BO in ratings:

Call of Duty: 91 Rating

Call of Duty: United Offensive: 87 Rating

Call of Duty 2: 86 Rating

Call of Duty 4: 92 Rating

Call of Duty World at War: 83 Rating

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2: 86 Rating

Call of Duty Black Ops: 81 Rating

Quality of games are not as good anymore. COD4 is still #1 according to the ratings.
