Heres a great post on the EA uk forums, on how DICE is killing their golden goose. And in turn, slowly wiping out communities and PC gaming in general. http://forums.electronicarts.co.uk/battlefield-3-pc/1469290-slow-painful-death-bf-pc-communities.html If your registered there, give it a like. Thanks!

didnt know that, thx! looks alot better than the stock skin.

If they would come down on the b3 rental price, I'd give it a whirl. I'd like to compare their server to the issues we've been having w/ current providers server. But at a third higher than what i am paying now, I'll pass. On the positive side, it is nice to see alot of those older titles priced at where they should be.

^plenty :) Nice card posted earlier. enjoy

Yeah, could ask there, but seeing that Bc2 procon had pings, its obvious its not a choice from phogue. Would rather get a public answer from the horses mouth why PC admins are getting less and less control over the servers we pay to run. Anyone remember this? From oct 15 - 2011... "In order to make sure admin tools are properly supported for the release of BF3, DICE have flown Phogue from his home in Aussie Land, all the way to cold chilly Sweden. Over the next 2 weeks, while in Sweden he will be meeting and working with the DICE team, in order to move the RCON interface along to a usable state for the launch of BF3. Phogue and the rest of the Procon team would like to put a special thanks out to Mikael Kalms for all of his efforts working with third party developers for all of DICE’s products.

Theres always GGC or other anticheat groups. Personally I appreciate the streaming requirment and the work the staff puts into the pre-streaming checks, as well as ending streaming for groups that dont follow the rules later down the line. Good luck in finding a better fit, as well as a more through anti cheat option. edit. typing before coffee. cant spell when awake either.

How about a few of you clans send PBbans a Christmas gift, in the form of a small donation? Total is a little slower this month, than in November. Happy Holidays everyone!

^ Free content wont bring back pissed off gamers. See 1.51 for 2142. They'll get the hype machine cranked back up on the next broke game before that happens.
-
+1 I agree totally. Same line of thinking applies to Karkand. They had to push that out the door, for the second round of pre-Christmas advo, before getting the base game working properly. Having seen the same exact issues DICE gave us on Battlefield Bad Company 2, I didnt wait to start canceling. We dumped a 64 slot out right, reduced another 64 down to 32, and reduced a 48 TDM (we were told pre-launch we could run that slot size) down to 24, thanks for that one, btw. Biggest unresloved problem DICE has not fixed (or is unable to) are the back end disconnects. Whoever came up with this "new and improved" back end, should be fired. The noob server renters think their servers are crashing, are confused... They are not crashing, your back end on Bf3 is worse than Bc2 - if that was somehow possible. btw, while your here asking for our input, how about answering a question for me: Why is there no pings shown in Procon? Its disgraceful that a "PC first" game does not have pings shown inside its control program, to allow for the traditional "high ping kick feature"

Might decide before new years... By then, you'll have paid for the next months rental (if you rented at launch) Whats funny, the game is not crashing. Its actually very stable compared to other DICE games we've played. Its the connection to the back end that seems to be the primary problem. Which ever DICE employee that was responsible for 'blaze' deserves a big fat lump of coal up his stocking. Its kind sad actually. Generally speaking, I think DICE deserves alot of kudos for the game. Unfortunatly, once again either they did not properly test this issue in the alpha/beta, or even worse they knew it was a problem, and knowingly sold us a defective product.

Got Santa and his buddy. And a anglo w/ a phallus for a nose. Yes. Now I am happy. Merry Christmas

Now it feels like another pbbans xmas ;) ho ho ho!

Looks nice. Think we need to start a contest to find HMS a new avatar PS. we going to get the snow theme this year?

Does this guy ever have someone else read his posts before he hits send? "currently dont want from a business perspective" ?!?! How about the perspective of those that paid $60 a pop? Where does that perspective fit into his business model?

10,000+ servers, married w/ small clans that wouldn't put in the time to populate them, put alot of blops servers out of use (which was a good thing). Wasn't long after release that there were as many servers online as there were players. Not a good ratio :) If people are allowed to move about in prematch, the majority of players will be happy with this. Only down side, is its this idle time, the kiddos find the glitch spots in the maps. But not that big of a deal.

^Yeah, i saw that. No mention of fixes to the QM system. No mention of fixes to staying connected to back end. Canceled one server, dropped another by half the slot count. Bc2 deja vu. Ya really got to feel for those that went dedicated, and are paying EA/DICE an excise tax for the privlidge of hosting their game for them... EDIT: lol... it gets better. disable idle kick no longer available. Good job DICE employees... Want to help me cover next months server fees? Go here and click on our paypal button www.308os.com. While your there, might as well get caught up on some of the money you cost us on Bc2 server fees while we payed to host your incomplete game. So we cant idle, and the quickmatch system is broke. So we get disconnected from OUR servers while waiting for quickmatch traffic that never comes. Brilliant!
-
Disconnected from back end. Join the club :)
-
Cant speak to wolf, but agree w/ the AOW support and problemsolving when they do respond. We tried them for a 2142 server and it was a bad experience all the way around. butt
-
Was that from kalms?
-
Unfortunatly, not for us. Bumped our player count to 64 after this news. Now its limited to 24 at launch... joy. butt
-
Guess they made so much money last year, they really dont have to worry about sales this time around. Re-hash and re-package and off to the stores... Hopefully all this good news will prompt a few CoD holdouts to spend their $60 on a more worthwhile title. butt

:sign0109: unranked dedis huh? Oh my... Brightened my day. lol, may keep the blops server for one more month, just to see what happens population wise. Leave it to activision to find new ways to let their loyal fanbase down. 5 days and counting!!! butt

Based on past experience, its probably going to take Surfy and Vanessa to be the ones that "man up". butt
