BC2 server not streaming
fozzer replied to Cell666's topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
Your team account currently looks like thsi; *************************************************************** Team: BUTTKICKERS ([-BK-]) Account ID: 9294 Streaming Status: Not Streaming (0 / 2) *************************************************************** --------------------------------------------------------------- Server List --------------------------------------------------------------- BFBC2 - 85.236.101.18:20062 BFBC2 - 85.236.102.2:20667 --------------------------------------------------------------- User List --------------------------------------------------------------- Cell666 (152134) Mango (152166) There are 2 ports associated with the BF series of gameservers; 1. rcon/query port that is used to send PB commands etc to the server (in your case its 20062) 2. The actual join/game port which is what you use when adding a server to your team account (in your case its 19967) So you use the rcon/query port to set things up. Then you use the actual join/game port to add the server to your team account. I have added 85.236.101.18:19967 and deleted the 2 incorrect server addresses. Your team account now shows; *************************************************************** Team: BUTTKICKERS ([-BK-]) Account ID: 9294 Streaming Status: Streaming (1 / 1) *************************************************************** --------------------------------------------------------------- Server List --------------------------------------------------------------- BFBC2 - 85.236.101.18:19967 (Streaming) --------------------------------------------------------------- User List --------------------------------------------------------------- Cell666 (152134) Mango (152166) Streaming nicely.- 1 reply

Hmmm. When is a roster not a roster ? When the members show 3 pages of registered forum users. A roster can be something as simple as a pinned forum topic that lists all players that represent your clan by wearing your clantags. The forum is still reg users only. The forum, or part of it, should be viewable without registration.

If you have resolved your initial issue, that means your proper cd key has been accepted and that will in turn generate a clean pbguid that is not on our MBi :)

Having your own website and active forums with full participation from group members are definitive signs of longevity for any group wishing to stream via PBBans. These 2 requirements are just a very small part of what we look for when validating streaming applicants. You would not believe the amount of applications we reject for having a hastily thrown together website and forums with no activity present :) For every one we accept I would say 10+ are denied either temporarily or permanently. That should read "fine without PBBans streaming" :P That is entirely your choice but there are other options for groups like yours if you want to stream a server. You would probably have to compromise on security, and you would probably have a "less than obvious" corrupt banlist (if you choose to run it) Theres a list of third party anti cheat sites here; http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=links.php Theres also this lot; http://game-violations.ggl.com/

The mandatory streaming requirements are not something we have thrown together to make it difficuilt for prospective streamers. They are measures introduced, on the advice of Tony Ray himself, mainly to combat security issues. The actual measures suggested were less draconian, but we have gone the extra mile to protect the integrity of our banlist and to provide as much protection as we can for the various groups that use our services. The mandatory streaming requirements have to be met by any group wanting to stream servers via PBBans, they must be kept in place for the continued use of PBBans services and if anything they will be made tougher and never easier. Here is what is required from any group wanting to stream servers via PBBans; http://www.pbbans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=82423 There are no exceptions. There are other anti cheat services were you only have to register on their forums to stream servers, some even actively encourage cheaters to stream servers  I can say with all confidence, that anti cheat sites that only require forum registration for streaming, have, at the very least a corrupt banlist. Now you are in receipt of the facts, the decision on what to do next is yours :) Go the extra mile for all members of your group and the clientelle that connect to your server, or go with something a lot less security minded and corrupt.

As recently as March 8 2011 the server 62.113.218.136:28960 was using "cracked" binaries. We do not support cracked servers in any shape or form, and the Hub will auto blacklist any server found with cracked server binaries. Please confirm with your GSP that your server is not using cracked binaries and it will be removed from the blacklist. Please be aware that if we get confirmation off you that the server is not "cracked" and subsequently the Hub detects it is still "cracked" your team account will be suspended permanently.

I have read your troubleticket and found a few anomolies with it. Firstly the player himself should have opened the ticket and not someone else on his behalf (by all means you can coach him on what to put in his ticket) but the ticket needs to be opened by him. Secondly, no matter how many "verbal tussles" a player has with a server admin, there is absolutely no way a server admin can have any input what so ever on the issue of a global ban. Whenever a troubleticket is opened claiming the violation is an error, it should be accompanied by a list of all processes that were running at the time of the kick (chat programmes, anti virus etc etc) Global bans are issued and maintained by EvenBalance themselves, and no server admin or anti cheat site has any input what so ever. I have seen a lot of VIOLATION (AIMBOT) 50120 global bans issued by EB, I have yet to see one successfully appealed. Global bans are not handed out like candy and EB make sure there is no chance of a mistake before going to this extreme. There are 2 responses to the ticket that was opened on this players behalf. Response 1 on the initial query; Response 2 on a request for information on how the violation was triggered; All in all I would say that the player concerned is screwed as far as his pbguid for BFBC2 is concerned, the best way forward for him is to purchase a new copy of the game and create a new EA account.

You should be aware that we do not allow anyone to stream someone elses server, that someone else could well be a past/present cheater and we operate a zero tolerance policy towards cheaters. Every person that streams a server via PBBans has to go through the full validation procedures we have in place to protect the integrity of PBBans and its SGA's. Anyone streaming a server for another person or group could well find their own team account being suspended.

bf2142 Server keeps deactivating
fozzer replied to propbndr's topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
Post up the contents of your ; pbsv.cfg pbsvuser.cfg and any other cfg you have in your root PB directory. Use a private forum section so there are no hiccups :) http://www.pbbans.com/forums/other-questions-and-troubleshooting-private-f557.html -
bf2142 Server keeps deactivating
fozzer replied to propbndr's topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
One of the advantages of Hub streaming, as far as we are concerned anyway :P is that all we have to do is add a submitted server to the Hub and our work is done. All none streaming issues are client side. We have 55 BF2142 servers streaming as I type and yours is the only one with this issue. If your quite sure you have this task; pb_sv_task 0 7200 pb_sv_ver up and running on your server, then the problem may be elsewhere. Personally I would do this; Send via rcon PB_SV_TList -> this will list all tasks running on your server and also give the task slot number. Check for duplicate streaming initiation commands within the servers root PB directory. Make sure a crontab (or something similar) is not resetting the servers root PB dir to a default state. If all seems ok, I would do a complete re-install of a fully updated PB and see if that resolves your issue. -

There is no way a staff member is going to talk about anything hack related in an open public forum section, especially re cheat prevention.

Here is a list of our mandatory streaming requirements; http://www.pbbans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=82423 When your quite sure you meet those requirements just post back here and a member of staff will assist you further (no viewable roster found)

Comunity Application
fozzer replied to PlayersOnline's topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
I dont see a problem with that, just be aware that you will be responsible for the clans and players that connect via those extra servers and if anything untoward crops up re those servers / clans / players, it's you who will be the person we contact to resolve any issues :) I'll put a note on your team account with a link to this thread so all staff members are kept up to speed. -
not streaming again
fozzer replied to Olemansniper's topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
All none streaming issues are client side. Your server last streamed February 18, 2011 at 3:47:49 pm Only 2 people have accessed your team account and performed any actions on it, thats yourself and OLDSNIPER63. Re run the streaming initiation commands again and streaming will kick in instantly when you get it right, as long as the installed PB version is up to date and functional. http://www.pbbans.com/automated-streaming-setup.html or http://www.pbbans.com/info-center-hubguide.html#bc2rcon or http://www.pbbans.com/info-center-hubguide.html#bc2gui -
d17848ca was last seen on a PBBans COD4 protected server on Feb 20, 2011 at 11:09 am. Looks like a leaked key to me, it has been used by players from Germany / Portugal / Poland. I dont know were the 12 linked bans come from as the leaked key is clean for the moment and it was not worth checking other IP's out.

190.210.72.189:29001 has obviously been added to your team account, and that is our work done. Any none streaming issue is always client side. Once you get the streaming initiation commands correct, streaming will kick in instantly. I would recommend you use this method to get your server streaming again; http://www.pbbans.com/info-center-hubguide.html#hlsw or http://www.pbbans.com/info-center-hubguide.html#rcon
